Your 54 probably hasn't even heard of Pearl Jam. My 54 sat two rows behind me for Eddie solo back in 2011. Bruschi FTW.

so I booked my flight n stuff. Even though I'm loyal to no particular airline I did enough miles to get a free connecting flight one way, which saved me about $120. So. Yay!

Might be referring to the protesting/rioting going on in the burbs? But not really sure that's downtown? Not familiar enough.
Oh please let it rain today.

Metrolink will take you from the airport to many locations down town.

The East St. Louis area is not involved in any rioting or protests as far as I know. The rioting is in Ferguson, MO which is a STL suburb north west of STL. I don't live in STL (about 150 miles away) but we are getting a ton of news on what is happening and I have several FB friends from that area. So far I have heard nothing about downtown STL or East STL being affected.

I was thinking about that today as well. It seems that this band is very cognizant of the times and issues in each town it plays. I would not be surprised at all if STL ends up being the kick ass show of the tour. One can hope, right?

Also, WMA is a virtual lock for an outright play or tag here.

An 18 year old kid who just graduated high school and was starting college this semester was shot and killed by a police officer. The officer said the boy was resisting and tried to grab his weapon. Witnesses said the boy had his hands up and was not fighting. Since then the police have killed another man. The police are arresting anyone and everyone apparently. A Washington Post reporter and a Huffington Post reporter were arrested in a McDonald's for no reason. They were only released when other journalists heard about it and inundated the police department with calls and questions. There has been looting and fires in Ferguson. And the police are dressed in riot gear and using tear gas.

I'm hoping it will be a great show. I've seen 3 shows in STL - 2003, 2004 (Vote for Change), and 2010. All three were good shows - 2003 and 2010 were great. And yes, we will get WMA. I would be money on that.

The Casino Queen is nice. I've been there several times myself. They just totally redid it a few years back. You'll like it, especially if you like to gamble at all.
