Don't worry, 95% of the boxes will be filled with stuff that doesn't sell. Can't wait to see the flood of items on here in a month or so such as "2 generic posters for $50 shipped". Getting my popcorn ready.

Exactly can't believe how and why people are getting worked up over this.

People are getting worked up over this because that is the world we now live in. I look at my kids and wonder what their kids lives will be like and worry. Materialism and capitalism have taken hold more so than ever and we all judge ourselves by what we own and what we don't own. Missed out on the mystery box = you are worthless. Its Mothers Day for gods sake. Instead of people taking time to honor the greatest gift they were given (Life) they chose to complain about some god damn box without even knowing what is in it. I love the pay it forward movement and am starting a new one with my box. Post to be up in a minute.

It's weird that we had to contact them first because I am in Canada and shipping was already calculated for me at 53.99$. I checked out and then they cancelled my order claimimg I requested the cancelation. Doesn't make much sense to me.

Yea except their calculation was double the actual cost, what a joke.

What of I shared my Pearl Jam passion with my mom for over 20 years ?

Your comment is a little intense IMO. Plus, the thread started yesterday, not today. Also, why bringing down judgement and waste your time here if it's Mother's Day ... You participating in this thread is just like others.

I love you Moms (Yes I have 2 moms an spent an amazing time with both o them today)

They used to say live and let live.

My post wasnt directed to most in 10c and wasnt meant to be a super negative thing. I get frustrated with everyone else when I want something and don't get it. I also want a lot of things like everyone else. It was a statement as a whole on life in the US now. Black Friday sales are now done during traditional Thanksgiving dinner hours. Every holiday has been turned into a retail event. We have no shame as a society anymore when it comes to 'our possessions'. Thats what worries me about the generation after my kids and what it will be like for them. Will Christmas (or whatever holiday you observe) morning be about standing in line to save $100 on a Hologram Box instead of sharing time with your family. The anger some have shown towards a silly box full of mostly stuff that doesn't sell has apparently hit a major nerve with me.

That is all I was simply saying from the beginning. Then I was attacked by every fan boy with a catch phrase and a keyboard.

All items should be available to the entire paying fan club. Its called equality......not entitlement. Lol. If pj10 club were to make a Canadian exclusive the comprehension of this situation wpuld be different. I am aware now that some sort of arrangement could have been made

about shipping. But it was very clear US only. Better instructions under this item could have avoided all this. But i get a couple dudes life story .. so it wasnt all bad

I think this was simply a matter of logistics. Not a slight to international fans. Not everything is going to be equal and fair in the pearl jam universe.

Sometimes they tour the US, sometimes they tour overseas. Sometimes they tour both. Hopefully it all evens out in the end.

For those of us that routinely get shut out living outside the US, whether it be merch, or contests, whatever, this isn't an anomaly. If you sell international memberships and only have stuff available to local members, then advertise that; "not all membership advantages available to all countries". Very simple and fair business.

I have no personal stake, as i don't buy merch anymore, but there are people that buy their membership based on what 10C advertises as the perks of being in the club.

If the benefits of being a member, one of which is clearly stated as member only merch and contests, it would just be good business practice to warn potential international members that they will not have access to everything american members do. Almost all of their contests, by the way, are US only.

    But they do clearly say:

"WHERE DOES MY MEMBERSHIP FEE GO?

Membership fees help to cover the cost of production, design and postage for the Newsletters, Ten Club Singles, and other Benefits that are mailed. International memberships include a $10 shipping fee."

The membership fee, therefore, is not a fee we pay to ensure that every single thing from their shop is available outside the US.
If the benefits of being a member, one of which is clearly stated as member only merch and contests, it would just be good business practice to warn potential international members that they will not have access to everything american members do. Almost all of their contests, by the way, are US only.

Yeah, the contest thing is annoying to me personally because they do that when the prizes include travel, which does make sense because of how much it would cost to fly people across the world. But it's really stupid to exclude Canadians for that reason, since most Canadians can and would get across the border and travel within the US if they had to.

Worst part is that Quebec residents are excluded from all contests because every contest need to get approval from a biard and there are some fees to this.

Yeah, that's bullshit. But that's a problem Quebec needs to confront, not those offering contests.

Out of curiosity... What was the last merch item that was US only?

Esides the Mystery box, the posters lots. That's what comes to mind for now

I remember the recent 2013 poster sets were US only

Other than that, most things are here for all.
