So is there a difference between the backspacer lp in the shop for 15 dollars and the one on ebay that is 25? Seems silly to have it in two places for different prices.

I was looking at that too, thinking it might be white or something, but it doesn't say. I'm as confused as you are.
Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?

supply and demand 101. so long as people are willing to pay, there will be people willing to sell. It's on us to say no to buying it. I hate it myself. If i did it, I figure karma will make it never sell. ah well.

It's really only a dollar difference...
Ebay = $25.00 shipped USPS Priority Mail
Shop = $23.99 shipped Mail Innovations

Didn't think about the shipping. Good point.

It is frustrating that true fans always seem to miss out on limited editions like Sevens, Vault Series and now the Mystery Box as they are always SOLD OUT. Then our only option is to be at the mercy of flippers on EBay which is plagued with overpriced Sevens, constitution Halls, and now the mystery box. These must be fans and the Tenclub doesn't seem to do anything to crack down on these flippers. I propose that the the Tenclub should make a 24 hour courtesy "hold" on one box per member. That way those of us members that don't find out about these surprise sales early enough to avoid the immediate sell out can rely on peace of mind of having a 24 hour hold of the special/surprise item--and we would get an email notice that an item is on hold for us waiting for pay/checkout. Then it's just a matter of us members paying for the item and thus securing a copy of such coveted items. Unfortunately the ten club has not put in practice any type of protection mechanism for members who missed an item and has not crack down on those members who flip fanclub items on Ebay and impose sanctions. It's very simple have a secret Tenclub "agent" buy the mystery box for $379 on Ebay "Buy it Now" check the serial number or postage info and expell the Tenclub member for life. If the fanclub member really wants to sell their mystery box they should do so face value through one of the many PJ forums.

...and that's my RANT or vent out for the frustration of not being able to get a copy of Sevens, Vault, and now the Mystery Box

    Cheers

Gotta disagree. Love the free for all that ensues when items are dropped. We need the excitement between tours.

Have a buddy randomly pick $75 worth of goods from the shop and you can have your own mystery box.

I think I read on an earlier post that they will ship international if you email them for a quote on the shipping and agree to a crazy shipping price.

I agree, I think the limited sales and the resulting feeding frenzies are fun, even when I miss out like I did today (And yes, the Vault had a preorder sale. Anyone who missed out on that can only blame themselves).

I just read my email - so i clicked on the link and the mystery boxes are gone, obviously. When they say one per member, do they make enough for each member to buy one? If you haven't been doing this long (1 month for me), i have no idea about vault pre-sales or 10AM on the 10th - this kind of stuff would be more useful in FAQ's than what's actually in there. I'll survive not getting a mystery box, just had a moment of excitement followed by let down. Nothing i haven't felt before. Hope you guys get some good stuff. I don't even really know what the heck the vault is - too much info. All in due time. Enjoy!

No, they don't make one for each member (that would be something like 250,000 mystery boxes!). They just allow people to only buy one, while supplies last. Almost everything they release is fairly limited in number (as they are into the collectors' items), so basically you need to remember to check the forum at 10 am pacific on the 10th of every month. That's when they send the monthly newsletter and usually have something limited that goes on sale at that time. Those items usually sell out within a couple of hours. Things do also randomly go on sale without warning occasionally as well, but that's just luck of the draw - if you happen to check the forum at those times then you're lucky.

The Vaults are boots from the past that has never been released by the band before. The first two were on CD only, but the last one, Vault #3 (Constitution Hall, 1998), was also made available on vinyl, and it is is a very beautiful album and it's become desire able to those who love vinyl (or love to flip vinyl).

No shit - we get it. We get the time and date of the month, we get the time conversion to our side of the planet. We get it. And us stupid fucks (might be just me) in Australia wait up until 2-3am to be told we are not able to buy these things. Take my hard earned dollars at cost price is all I ask 10C to do. Nope, too easy that way. I just have to trod off to ebay and pay 10 times the amount. It get's old and it is becoming frustrating. And you think those guys are stupid buying off ebay....why? Cos you may have had an opportunity at cost to get a cool item(s) and we have no other opportunity than to fund someone's mortgage via ebay?

Not having a dip at the people I have quoted, just stating the increasing angst from international members that pay the same dollars for less opportunity.

All I can thank is the mates on here that look out for me as they have, but even then that is limited when items are 1 per member.

Rant over. Love the band, love the mates I have made on here and love being on the forum

Santos did say international, people could email the ten club for a shipping quote. Seems like they tried to help you guys out. And in all fairness to them... If they allowed international orders and then people saw it cost $75+ for shipping at checkout they would be going bananas that 10 club was ripping them off. Not sure how they can please everyone every time.

It's weird that we had to contact them first because I am in Canada and shipping was already calculated for me at 53.99$. I checked out and then they cancelled my order claimimg I requested the cancelation. Doesn't make much sense to me.

Don't worry, 95% of the boxes will be filled with stuff that doesn't sell. Can't wait to see the flood of items on here in a month or so such as "2 generic posters for $50 shipped". Getting my popcorn ready.

I think they want to quote people all the shipping and fees and then let them pull the trigger. If they didn't give people an accurate picture and people ended up paying $200+ for this thing without warning the outrage would have been crazy.
