Liking this album (Lost in the Dream). It's like Don Henley and My Morning Jacket met up at an arcade in the 80's, went back to his garage to play some tunes together and Bruce Springsteen stopped by to help out with a couple songs. Good stuff.

thank you! I was trying to remember/think of the "80's" music that they reminded me and couldn't :)) Don Henley was it.

Just got a new turntable last night, and have been dying to play their last two albums. Sounded fantastic.

ALSO...we were kicking around driving to Madison for the 9/20 show (before they play MPLS), and boom! They added a second MPLS show (first is sold out). Can't wait...

man, I can't believe I haven't bought the new record yet....
I have seen these guys like 5 times since 2009. excellent show
they even recorded some of "Slave Ambient" right down the street from my house.

can't wait til October for the show. looks like they are moving up in to larger venues...
to anyone who has seen them recently... are they drawing a "different" crowd nowadays?

They actually played a "secret" show last night at Johnny Brenda's X( :))
and Kurt Vile played with them on a few songs

Awesome! I really dig their drummer and Adam is such a smart ass in the funniest way possible at live shows with his banter. Glad you had a good time.

  • is Adam a huge fan of the 90's and grunge music? He looks like he's from another era, from the early 90's or something and never left. He's old enough that the grunge era would have been formative on him. He looks like Ed in 94/95 or something.

I have a picture on my phone that I took of them back at a show in 2010. He looks like Billy Corgan circa 1991. all long hair, vintage clothes and slouched over the guitar.

wow. went to the show last night. totally different band than the last time I saw them. this was about a 1100 seat venue and it was packed. last time I saw them was at a small club. Adam even gave a shout out to that club. they must've played it 5 times over the years.

I was surprised by how popular they have become- but I see why. adam is full on rock star now. no longer hiding behind keyboards but out front shredding. i'll say it again. reminds me of early pumpkins, not so much the music but the energy.

    great show, glad I went

wow. went to the show last night. totally different band than the last time I saw them. this was about a 1100 seat venue and it was packed. last time I saw them was at a small club. Adam even gave a shout out to that club. they must've played it 5 times over the years.

I was surprised by how popular they have become- but I see why. adam is full on rock star now. no longer hiding behind keyboards but out front shredding. i'll say it again. reminds me of early pumpkins, not so much the music but the energy.

    great show, glad I went

missed out on the limited edition vinyl- oh well

Awesome. LITD translates so well live.
It sure does... I have to admit I haven't even heard it yet
was gonna buy it last night
85% of the show was LITD and it was awesome
Tangled Up in Blue was AMAZING
rare that I enjoy a show that much without being familiar with the tunes...
I have a question for ya...
how do all these people hear new music now?
it was almost sold out and I was surprised
I am so out of touch with how music reaches people nowadays

They are probably too big to play the Theater of Living Arts, but that would be a cool venue.

Just saw the band last night for the first time in Atlanta. Great show! Played for about an hour and forty minutes, which was a perfect length. Was blown away at how good of a guitarist Adam is. Was a true sight to see.

I would say the best venue for them is the Union Transfer which was the last time they played here besides the secret show.
