wow. went to the show last night. totally different band than the last time I saw them. this was about a 1100 seat venue and it was packed. last time I saw them was at a small club. Adam even gave a shout out to that club. they must've played it 5 times over the years.

I was surprised by how popular they have become- but I see why. adam is full on rock star now. no longer hiding behind keyboards but out front shredding. i'll say it again. reminds me of early pumpkins, not so much the music but the energy.

    great show, glad I went

missed out on the limited edition vinyl- oh well

Awesome. LITD translates so well live.

It sure does... I have to admit I haven't even heard it yet
was gonna buy it last night
85% of the show was LITD and it was awesome
Tangled Up in Blue was AMAZING
rare that I enjoy a show that much without being familiar with the tunes...
I have a question for ya...
how do all these people hear new music now?
it was almost sold out and I was surprised
I am so out of touch with how music reaches people nowadays

They are probably too big to play the Theater of Living Arts, but that would be a cool venue.

Just saw the band last night for the first time in Atlanta. Great show! Played for about an hour and forty minutes, which was a perfect length. Was blown away at how good of a guitarist Adam is. Was a true sight to see.

I would say the best venue for them is the Union Transfer which was the last time they played here besides the secret show.

    Oh...and fuck Mark Kozelek. :))

In good fun, I guess I really just don't understand it. I'm sure it's some high-level shit that I don't understand, but I'd never heard of the guy until this. Trying to be objective, it'd be one thing if he had a legitimate beef, but it seems to me he should be pissed at whatever festival scheduler put his set time with his soft rock next to TWOD with it's slightly louder rock (and not the band).

It's just odd what he's doing. I'm sure he's completely trying to be funny and I'm trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, but he's coming off like the worst of internet "trolls" (did I say that right?) Like fighting or antagonizing for the fun of it. Cool. I'm sure I'll never buy his records now.

...(if you don't know about the Kozelek vs. TWOD one-sided feud going on, google it. It's really weird).

vant, you've never heard of red house painters or sun kil moon?

kozelek is a dick. but 'war on drugs suck my cock' is hilarious in its own way. his second diss track, not so much. but i'm all over his christmas album that's coming out.

i remember first hearing about this. The sun kill moon singer were on the same time as war on drugs at a festival and he made those comments. Dude was like why? we have no beef with sun kill moon.

Like I said, maybe I just don't get it. I thought at first it was like a tongue in cheek poke at hipster music, but now it's clear he's just antagonizing them for the sake of doing it, which just screams "troll."
