All these people bumping threads with ridiculous prices

If you want/have to sell something to take care of your dog vet bills, wisdom tooth extraction or whatever.

PRICE YOUR ITEM CORRECTLY SO IT AS A CHANCE OF SELLING.

If not stop spamming the boards with prices that are obviously unreasonable, cause if they were reasonable you would be selling the item instead of bumping it day/night.

Agreed. but make an offer if it's something you want. It's really no better than eBay here. Not sure how the 10C is letting people get away with it but I'm also not sure what they can do about it. I got a poster recently for cost plus shipping from someone who clearly just bought it to flip and wasn't getting their asking price.

Found: Soundgarden Hyde Park DVD (Thank you for the gift!)

You know that the whole make me an offer stuff just ends up being behind the scenes auction for the best trade or cash out. It's reasonable if trades are comparable in price and both parties agree, but seems that it's becoming more prevalent to not list prices and try to inflate more value thru pms.
If you want to sell something then list a price.
If you want to trade for something then list what you're looking for.
Stop the bullshit I want to sell something, so make me an offer. That stuff should be immediately deleted by the mods.

Little off topic, but I'd like to request people stop writing "title says it all." Title very rarely says it all and for some reason it drives me crazy! Small pet peeve.

I think this thread kinda sucks OP. I have done a few deals with people on these boards. And I have been very happy with everyone. I'd say most of the people are good people. Sure everyone would like to have a few bucks extra in the wallet. But bye in far, must people are good people. At least that's what I believe. Just relax, we are all just energy and light on this big spinning rock. Be cool.

If you compare prices asked to averages sold on Ebeans and Discogs, why would they be ridiculous ? When there is demand in anything, prices go up and right now, there is a bubble for not only LPs, but posters too. My pov

When I bought my LD sealed at the store it was 24.00 and the avocado was 18. I was made that I spent so much! Kept them awhile, needed money the prices went up in 2007 I was out of a job and sold them. Big deal. Made a few bucks on them. Wish I still had my OG vinyl but that's life. I make better money now , and I'll pay to get it back. And the guy that I buy it from might be outta work and need the money to pay bills, or college or whatever. It's just life. Don't sweat people. No one here is getting rich off of trading and selling PJ LPs.

All I am saying is if you bought sevens 3 months ago for $65 congratufucking lations. If u need to sell it now because of some unforeseen circumstance. Don't price it at 350 and bump it for seven days straight only to eventually sell it for 300.

price it right if u are a flipper, flip, but stop bumping your thread with some wack price like someone with ADD.

Sadly, I need to disagree with you on that point. I think there are a lot of people who are using LD as a way to make some decent money. People have turned a Sevens boxset into $300 profit, made $100 on a Coke bottle-colored Ten before even receiving it, flipped some 2013 posters for quick $, etc.

This place has changed a lot over the last 5 months. I remember when the holy grail threads were always at the top of page 1. Now they are probably pushed to the third page with all of these sales.

I am afraid to see what this place is going to be like when there is a US tour and people need tickets. The mods are going to need to take control or there will be some ticket scalping going on here (with $ or with merch). We already saw some of it last year with Wrigley tickets.

I agree. I tried to explain it in a different thread, but LD has taken a turn into a more "predatory" community. How many times have I seen trade "offers" like "Sevens, Coke Bottle Ten, Pittsburgh and Portland Posters, and Vault 3 for a Benny". People seem to increasingly snipe recent stuff with no intention on keeping them in order to flip for higher end items, or very often just selling.

As far as selling goes, you see people "listing" them here at full ebay prices, bumping threads many times a day for months it seems without budging. The advantage here over ebay is there are no fees or time constraints, as well as your "target market".

I dont think its out of control, yet. Seems to be increasing and like PJ-Cubs said, tickets will be worse. I thought it was extremely close to the line this past tour with soooo many people trading GA tickets and such.

I really do not think LD should be about "maxing out" so much. Especially with items released recently.

I have to sell things at a profit to cover ticket prices on the secondary market. I needed 3 tickets together. The Ten Club only let's you have two. :((

The mods shut down a lot of threads last year where people were trying to trade tickets for high-value items. I think they will do the same for the next tour. There is now way that the 10C will allow scalping on their site.

yeah. This lottery thing I believe opens the door for people to perhaps get multiple accounts and possibily use friends accounts/combine efforts and end up with a lot more tickets than they intend to use.

Once the cat is out of the bag, cant stop the PMs.
