These new rules are so crazy. Jayson Stark was talking about players getting rid of their lollygagging habits. I think we as fans will have to get rid of our habits too. You could do so much on your phone between every pitch - now you gotta just sit there & watch. Also I have a feeling the pitchers will wear down even faster - ugh.

Hate most of the changes, so dumb. Baseball will always have a baseball problem, it's never going to do better than 3rd in pro sports in the long-run.

Don't know how I feel about this one - hopefully not an overpay:

    EDIT:
lvarado will earn $9MM in each of the 2024 and 2025 seasons, with a $50K signing bonus. The 2026 club option is for $9MM, with a $500k buyout. Alvarado and the club already agreed to a $3.45MM salary for 2023 to avoid arbitration, effectively making this three-year, $22MM contract a two-year, $18.55MM extension. Alvarado is represented by OL Baseball Group.

    Also Mister Sir details:
The deal guarantees him $7.25MM, MLBTR has learned. He’ll be paid $2.5MM in 2023, $4.25MM in 2024 and has a $500K buyout on an $8MM club option for the 2025 season. Dominguez is represented by Epitome Sports Management.

OK I like both of these, though I'd say Alvarado's is bordering on overpay. But damn if you're a lefty and can throw fire you'll always be overpaid. Now get Nola done, tick tock....

Those deals seem reasonable I guess. Whatever, it's not my money.

After the Delco Dems convention ended at Harrah's Casino I won six Benjamins at the Spanish 21 table in 45 minutes. :)

    Awesome.
Think I've gambled 3x in AC since moving back here in 2012.  Only once was it an actual "gambling session".
Used to love playing cards and then craps with any winnings, but work hard now to avoid.
Good food down there, though.  Haven't made my way through all of the places I want to go.

last casino I was at was Valley Forge (mainly cause it's the closest). Although I think Harrah's in Chester is also kinda close, only been there once. I usually just play the slots though.

It's actual name is Harrah's Philadelphia even though it's in Chester. They changed it a few years ago for marketing purposes.  Philadelphia sounded better than Chester.  It used to have a great poker room back in the day, then they moved it upstairs and then COVID hit and now they don't have it anymore.  It can be fun on big horse racing days especially when the outside area is open with the bar.

I'm also of the opinion that Philadelphia sounds better than Chester.
    Chester is not very appealing.

For sure but going it’s not like going through Chester at all.  there is nothing around it other than Boeing, Peco and industrial sites on the north/ Philly side.  Past it South/Towards Delaware is the Prison right next door and a mile or two down is theUnion stadium.  That being said I make sure I’m aware of my surroundings heading out of that place.  Although that’s not much different than how I react coming out of AC Casinos. Although haven’t been in AC in years.

A friend of mine is going to this Phish Mexico jawn and it got me thinking. When is PJ going to relent and do something like this? I don't want to hear they're above this or some bullshit fanboy nonsense like this when it comes to the money grab. I would unload all the monies. Certainly would be better than PJ20.

We're planning a trip to see U2:Achtung Baby in Vegas in the fall. Very exciting!

    So glad I skipped PJ20.
