Cooperstown was really cool. Saw all the stuff everyone has talked about. I am a weirdo, though. So two things that stood out to me was a mistake and an obscurity.

First....the blue seats at the Vet did not replace any wooden ones. They simply replaced different colored (brown, orange and yellow) plastic ones. And the renovation took place in 1995 not 1994. I am considering writing a strongly worded letter to the Hall of Fame.

Second...fucking Gary Redus is in there! I kind or remember hearing about this before but man....dude almost batted .500! He was a middling player for about a decade in the majors. I always remember him as being the centerfielder for the Phils for my first game my dad took me to in 1986.

@Cliffy6745 ---you ever play that Leatherstockings course? Looked nice. We sat out there and watched a few groups play 18. Beautiful setting.

I need to get there one year 9maybe next year? Yeah i don't remember any wooden seats at the Vet at all. Did Connie Mack Stadium have wooden bench seats?

Gary Redus? Now there's name from the past. I barely remember him on the Phills in the mid 80's. Cool stat though.

So I don't know if anyone has seen this story of the teacher who got arrested twice masturbating in a park. He was my son's teacher. The school district is saying they were never notified of the initial arrest by the state's education dept. Apparently an employee of the education dept. told a media member they did notify the school district, but the district says there's no evidence, and they only found out from a reporter.

Anyway, my point is our state government seems to have a lot of issues. The way I see it is we have had a series of ineffective governors (yes very much including Rendell), and we really need Josh Shapiro to stay here and work on this disfunction. I say there are better VEEP candidates in Arizona & Michigan anyway.

I've seen Down, and Undone, Alone, Brother, etc. would be nice additions to my "collection" - but Sad is on another level - a Top 5 Pearl Jam song for me. It's also quintessential. It sounds every bit as PearlJammy as RVM, Corduroy, In Hiding, etc. I can play Sad and say "this is what Pearl Jam sounds like." Can't believe they don't play it more often. Not played yet in 2024 I believe.

I did the wine pairing at One if By Land, Two if By Sea in NYC. Holy fuck, we were spun at the end of that. Huge check but a fun dinner. Not usually a wine guy.
