what makes this even better (for me) is that the phils are doing this to a team that swept the fucking dodgers.

Q: if hoskins comes back, where does he play?
I assume he'll be a big bat off the bench in certain situations.

Really can't believe how confident I am that this isn't even going to Saturday.

It feels like we're watching a more dominant offense than the 2009 Yankees. Maybe that's because Rob Thomson is managing and Kevin Long is the hitting coach.

Funny thing is the NFL would probably fine that security guard 20 grand for that tackle.

These sunbelt cities are absolutely pathetic places for big league sports teams. I'll give a pass for the NBA teams - those seem to work well in those markets.

Anybody else feeling uncomfortably confident for this game? Like, the Philadelphian in you is setting in? Weird time, pitcher with a 5+ era on the mound, AZ in desperation mode, etc. The rational side of me says they should absolutely walk away in this game, buuuuutttt.....

No. I cannot believe how utterly calm I am actually. Never felt this quiet confidence in the playoffs ever for any sport actually. Last year Birds was close. But this is different. We are far and away superior in every aspect, especially in these next two games.

We're having my wife's family over for game 5. The only thing I am questioning at this point is if the series will even make it that far. I don't think it will.

Totally - I don't like the feeling. But too busy trying to figure out logistics with a stupid work zoom meeting right in the middle of the game.

even if the phillies lost tonight, which I doubt, you’re not losing this series. hell, you could lose 3 in AZ, which won’t happen, and #till win the series.

Flush it come back tomorrow. AZ should be happy about their 2 runs in like 20 innings.

I'm glad it was Kimbrel, too, now at least he's unavailable for tomorrow.

That umpire can’t pronounce his Italian name right and can’t figure out what’s a strike. And Kimbrel has not earned his closing role at all. Looking forward to more hitting tomorrow.

My confidence remains unflappable. This ends early Saturday evening.

Kimbrel....long time coming. What do we do with him?

Bohm... time to move out of clean up spot? Give it another game?

No, move JT up to cleanup. Maybe Nick but he seems to try too hard in that spot.

I think outside of looking at that strikeout Bohm has been coming around, hitting the ball hard. I would think maybe switching JT and Bohm, at most, but aside from that I think I kinda like the setup they have? I know I've said before, in a normal world, no one would be hitting where they are but Topper has it right - he sees the lineup in waves:

Wave 1 - Schwarber, Turner, Harper
    2 - Bohm, Stott, JT
3 - Nick, Marsh/LF, Rojas (he's just a hole in the lineup at this point that you're accepting for defense)

Nick was back to Flailing Nick yesterday, I probably should go back to talking shit on him again.

Also, no one fuckin' hit yesterday, and they were way too aggressive.

AZ throwing a bullpen game today, absolutely have to take advantage of that.

Yeah got to move Bohm out of the cleanup spot, maybe to 7th or 8th? Umpire was all over the place with balls and strikes (for both teams although). Also that check swing, dude went around but oh well. Time to bounce back tonight.
