    They have been pushing this heavily over the past 6 months or so.  We haven't done it yet and were honestly debating it.   Yeah, it makes perfect sense, but we're also not sure how long we're going to be where we are so tough to assume that we will be the ones that have to do it.  At the same time, with our front yard, it's going to be a hell of a project when it goes...

    I would say if you live in the 'burbs it wouldn't make sense, but living in a city, Philly in particular, it makes too much sense - it covers your water and sewer lines running from your house to the street, along with the appliances that would be connected to these that could fail, which is the resident's responsibility if anything happens. In Philly it's definitely a high probability of something happening (Cliff above) - whether due to living in rowhomes/shared space, trees out front (can grow into the pipes), on-street parking (people parking on curbs), or especially living on small side streets (people fucking also driving on the curb). A job to fix those is at minimum $5-10k. For $96/year?  That's a ridiculously good deal.

    That's how I kind of took it.  That said, almost all of these pipes are lead and need to be replaced eventually.

    So good - probably going to bring Henon down with him, I don't think it ultimately affects Kenney, though. I just need more shoes to drop. I'm ok with unions but fuck him and Local 98. This should, hopefully, change some things in "The Machine".

    EDIT: Oh, also, this might mean Squilla has a challenger in our district. Which would be fucking awesome.

    I can't see how Henon stays.  The few texts that I saw are bad.  I don't think this gets near Kenney.  He distanced himself a while ago.  Pennsport isn't thrilled with him these days.

    Yup. Money ended up benefiting the General Fund and partly 98, which is just great.

    Fuck it, just turned off the pipes feeding the 3 outside water supplies and drained them.  Will drip the inside shit tonight.
    Better to spend a few bucks on water than deal with backed up waste pipes.  ;)

    Was boozing and smoking last night.  Some of the fastest smokes I have had in a long time -- when it is cold af outside you for sure have motivation to smoke quickly.
    Good news is that it is not nearly as cold here as it is in other parts and it is going to get warmer every day to Sunday.

    Spoke with my mother last night and she complained that the country is a bunch of softies...kids in VT are going to school, no delays, no cancellations.  People are expected at work -- this is winter life, there.
    Kinda harsh, but funny.
    Fuck -bazillion degrees, when the hell is Bryce Harper announcing?  Is he waiting until the day after Super Bowl?
