Why yes, yes I am. The wife went out and I'm on the porch smoking a cigar, listening to the Halloween spectrum show. That was a fun week. How'd it end again?

I was watching a little bit of an Astros game the other night and the voice of the play by play man sounded familiar....turns out Todd Kalas found himself a new gig.

And it was his dad's birthday so to honor him he called a home run in the same way Harry did (when he was the Astros announcer before coming here). And then they talked about Harry for a few minutes.

Nice, unexpected, trip down HK memory lane....

so when do we figure then finally decide Nola is not healthy and he should have surgery on the elbow? I'd say it happens around May 1st. they should have just done it last year and gotten it over with.

His gig with the Rays the past however many years has been brutal. So corny. So many PR stunts. Glad that he got in a booth somewhere.

Anybody seen the Gleason doc? If not, and you REALLY want to bawl your eyes out voluntarily, sure, do it. Holy crow.

Yeha, man. The wife and I watched this a while back. Just brutal. Really good though. That said, I have very mixed feelings on his decision to get the tracheotomy.

Yeah, not sure if they just didn't go into detail regarding that, but I understand if you don't want to die. But at the same time you're putting all of that on someone else to take care of you until you die of some other cause; tough call.

Yeah, I mean, who the hell am I to tell a guy to just die? At the same time, the stuff that woman has been through and done for him. At some point it just needs to be over. Not to mention, the kid is getting older and older. Sick disease, man.

I've only seen the first 5 minutes. Looks funny as shit. I think the first episode is streaming and/or on demand right now. Gonna try and find it tonight.

    The premise is genius though.

Getting pretty pumped for this Hall of fame thing, though there is a family thing that could potentially keep me from going, though not terribly likely at this point.

Going to be a long show it seems like. Beyond pumped for Snoop and potentially Dre for the 2pac stuff.

Yeah, aside from the name of this board and Tupac, I don't know if I'd want to sit through all that. Though, I'm sure alcohol will cure the pain.
  • Wife is out for HoF, gave her ticket to a board member here. Downgraded hotel since it will not be Magic Time and will just be me crashing out Thursday and Friday nights. Pumped to see PJ in what still appears to be only US playing this year. I drank way too much tequila, beer, and vodka last night in West Philly. (California) It was 70 degrees at night. Miss this!

Never been to Barclays before. I'm assuming there's some bars within walking distance to the place?

definitely an interesting season to see how the young guys develop. I think Velasquez could make a huge jump. Hopefully Franco can be even better. Also interesting to see if Herrera and Hernandez can continue what they did last year. i'm not a big Hernandez fan so I think his 2nd half last year was an aberration. Hope I'm wrong on that. Saw that the over/under in Vegas was 74 for the Phils. I'll take over but a few games. say 78.
  • Who is the big RF prospect? (Big as in his stature) Recall thinking he was going to be a beast and then havent heard much about him.

Reds (my favorite team) first up -- hoping we can get a few Ws to start the season vs. the Phils before tanking out.

Cesar Hernandez is on pace for 162 home runs this year. That would be a record.
