I didn't feel it the first time. I hope it will be a grower. I don't mind artists taking their music in a new direction, but it doesn't always work for everyone.

    Agreed..

I enjoyed it, it seems like one you have to listen to a few times. Nothing really stood out on the first spin.

Has anyone received presale instructions? I pre ordered the album just for pre sale rights and I have received no info. WTF!

    Received my email last Thursday.

My code was in the order confirmation email. I got in and was able to get two tickets for Columbus. Good seats too.

Still need to stream the album, hopefully it's better than the couple tracks I've heard. And thinking I gotta see them at Joe Louis!!

I listened twice and I have to say I am pleasantly surprised by this album. I did not have high hopes but I think it's excellent. As a whole it has an excellent vibe. I'd call it psychedelic blues. Definately more "black keys" than El Camino.

I just listened to the whole album, and I fucking love it. Still can't get myself to pull the trigger on tickets, and they are really good tickets. Lower bowl in like the second side section, row 7 earlier, row 12 now. I'm just worried because with the Citi presale, you have to show your card at will-call to pick them up. So no chance of selling if I can't go, and 177 for a pair is too much to not be sure about. I may pick some up on Friday during the public sale.

I agree with most of the people here. Think it will be a grower for me. Solid though.

Yeah once I saw they were playing Wells Fargo I lost all interest. They can't hold up in a big arena setting... It just doesn't sound good. They are much better in a smaller venue. This will be the same reasoning I skipped Arcade Fire at the Well.

A somber disappointment for me, still an enjoyable spin but I prefer their earlier catalog.

They think they are going to though. They are playing the same size arena as Arcade Fire did here (give or take a couple thousand). Arcade fire had the top section closed off, and horseshoe around the stage; nothing behind. Black keys are selling tickets in every section, including behind the stage. I don't think they'll fill it either. The presale has been open for 2 days now, and still great close seats available. I think I'll wait and stub hub them closer to the show for cheap

I've listened to it 3 times and it doesn't work for me at all. It's just boring dance rock for the most part. I really wish they'd dump Danger Mouse and go back to making the raw, bluesy rock music that made me fall in love with them in the first place.
I wish I was as fortunate, as fortunate as me.
