We started about 7:15 this morning at Spoonful Records in Downtown Columbus...HUGE line of around 200 folks here!
Only thing I grabbed here was the Sunny Day Real Estate / Circa Survive 7"

Decided to check out another shop in one of the smaller suburbs...this store didn't open until 10am and there were only 10 or 15 people in line when we got there around 9:45!! Picked up the 12" albums I REALLY wanted here:

Went to Endanged Species in Delaware? I was there yesterday and didn't sound like he was getting much. He said the only thing people were really asking for were the Pixes and he said he got a few Soundgarden's. Really wanted to check it out, but couldn't make it up there today.

Yeah...He didn't have any of the 7" records at all...I think he only had 1 of the Soundgarden singles sets too!!
I got the only Husker Du he had and there were maybe a dozen Pixies albums.
He did't have much, but the prices were pretty good there!!!
Spoonful was a MADHOUSE and they didn't get one of their shipments in...Initially told us it would arrive around noon, so they were taking names and phone #'s along with a list of the items we were interested in.
Got a phone call around 2pm that the shipment wouldn't be in until Monday & they will contact us if they have any of the records on our lists!!

It says on the download card on the LCD box set...

"FYI we are totally not making a cd of this. We are giving you this download code to make your own CDs. "

    No cd release people!!!

I bought way more than I planned on, but didn't get everything I want. I can't figure out how that happened. I am going to blame REM for this one. REM was the top selection I wanted and I couldn't get it anywhere. I made a bunch of impulse buys to make up for it.

I picked up the Jimmy Page and Black Crowes - it sounds fantastic!! Our local shop in Flagstaff still had a couple others I was thinking about, but I just bought this one. They had the Soundgarden box for around $65 - I just couldn't do it.

I had a pretty good morning while hitting two Bull Moose stores. Not surprised that I missed Cake, but thought I might have gotten the Page/Crowes album.

    Here is my score!

The Allman Brothers Play All Night: Live at the Beacon Theatre 1992
Built To Spill Ultimate Alternative Wavers
Devo Butch Devo and the Sundance Gig
Grateful Dead Live at Hampton Coliseum
Joy Division An Ideal For Living (1978)
    Ray Lamontagne Supernova
    Mudhoney On Top
    Oasis Supersonic
The Pogues Live With Joe Strummer
    Soundgarden Superunknown: The Singles
The The Giant (Double A-Side 12 Inch)
    R.E.M. Unplugged
Johnny Cash With His Hot and Blue Guitar

Figured i did ok considering I walked into the first BM 30 minutes after they opened. Went to the second one and they had a box of the REMs.

Scarborough store? Mike mills is signing autographs there this afternoon. They received 75+ copies for the event
I went back late and picked up Dean Martin. The line was small at this point for Mike so i got a sig from him on my REM. Not sure how to post a pic,

I need to now figure out how to record Flac from my turntable.

I don't suppose they have any left??

I would be eternally grateful if anyone is around this store and could grab me a copy??

Doesn't need to be scribbled on by Mike Mills, but that would be super cool.....

I must say that prior to RSD this year (and others in the past) I have been bummed that there were no big PJ releases available. But after seeing how quickly some of the more sought after items went this year (REM, DMB, Biggie) I'm glad PJ hasn't come out with anything big these past few years. It would only lead to incredible disappointment.
