    Anyone planning on watching the US WC opener vs Ghana somewhere in Amsterdam at Midnight on the 16th? We may just wing it, but if anyone has suggestions for a good and somewhat Yank friendly place to check out the game I'm all about it.

    There were a couple of places at Leidseplein that were playing NFL games late when we were there last fall.. Can't really remember the names of the places, but easy to find. As far as WC matches... I would imagine they will be playing everywhere..

    I'm English but Liverpool's an independent state and we fly our own flag but we'll be up for that dude. Everyone be just getting back into town buzzing after the show, so wherever you go the place will be rocking !

    I'm from Blackpool, England but I'd be up for it also :) They'll show all the world cup matches in many places in Amsterdam.

    So a 2.5 hour Pearl Jam concert that just fucking rocked our world into... a couple hours later keeping the party going with watching the US in World Cup..... SOUNdS GOOD !~*~*

    Hell ya... let's do it... I'm in.... My last two visits we went to Ajax games and had a blast! .... Hey Warren... those Group H matches between and Ajax & Celtic were nuts...

    I'd say they were crazy for sure! I remember seeing pictures in the paper of the celtic fans fighting with the police and everything (think it was the same matches you're talking about, champion's league match I think)

    The square in Leidsplein should have a few spots. We could all meet there and then decide where to watch it.

    I didn't realize that the only game on at that time is US v Ghana, so it should be on in every bar....The Black Stars have knocked us out of the last two cups,,,,so the game will be huge...that and everyone will be ridin the PJ show wave. Should be a good time.

    Arrived in Amsterdam yesterday... Holy shit this city is AMAZING

    Saw Soundgarden tear it up in Utrecht tonight... The set list was PERFECT and Mike McCready came out to play Superunknown with the band. Cornell joked that they hadn't rehearsed it but that McCready would play the song better than anyone in the band
