@doompony if you want I'm starting at the quest on Beaumont by Victoria park. Parking is $10/night which I'm not gonna need. I planned to walk to father Ted's but I'd happily split a cab with you if you wanna park your car there.

You're right. It was the tag. Thanks Kat.

Hey what was your user name before the board changed?

So.. Is anyone going to be there from the morning? Perhaps we could set up a text tree and keep people updated on what the barriers and stage set ups and crowds and junk are like so people can make educated decisions on the day of when to arrive?

I'm thinking mid-afternoon too... It depends on the weather, if its cool/breezy I don't mind being there longer but if its REALLY hot i can't stand being there all day
Pearl Jam Pearl Jam Pearl Jam!

I'm looking to buy a single ticket to Ed's Sydney Opera House show, PM me if you've got a spare! I don't care where the seat is! :D

I'm thinking mid afternoon too. a friend likes The Hives & while I don't know them at all I'm trusting him that they're maybe worth checking out & I'm kinda figuring to check out all the bands on the main stage from then.

OK. It's decided. I want to hear Sad more than anything.
  • Hey folks, just wanted to say I'm pumped for Friday too... I'm popping over from OZ to celebrate turning 40 and couldn't wait for the Oz shows or the crowds. I'm Lukin forward to kiwi singalongs, thrashin out some Corduroy, a few new songs, a couple of Ed's ukelele tracks and plenty of well ripened material with all the great memories from the greatest band on the planet and fables of my youth. I had to go to this extreme to get my wife along but would be sublime if Neil Finn joined the boys for a classic rendition of throw your arms as recentlly recorded - even she would enjoy that.

My name was duska3419 before the board changed. I wasn't planning on being there all day, more like mid afternoon - BUT I do have a kiwi phone number and a bunch of unused texts. So. Yea.

Even if we end up there too early, it sounds like western Springs is a more pleasant venue than Mt smart

Yep, way nicer than Mt Smart! Lots of green space, even at the venue, besides the park next door which we won't actually have access to once we've gone into the stadium, still, not horrid industrial area like Mt Smart.

So stoked. Txt tree sounds great. Doom_pony how will I recognise you? No banner this year?

I'll probably head in mid/late afternoon, really only going to see Pearl Jam. Would love to hear Little Wing, CoT, Daughter/It's Ok, Love Boat Captain, Baba O'Reilly. Rats anyone?

Yay re being on leave already DP. :)

My plan at this stage is to get there in time to see The Hives. I was wondering if people wanted to meet somewhere for lunch(late lunch perhaps) before heading to Western Springs although there's not really anywhere good that close to WS. Anyway we can perhaps work out a plan at the pre-party on Thursday. :)
