The game starts at 18:00 so instead of a support act they should just show it on a big screen in the venue :D
i cant even imagine the feeling of ola again at that venue!

So, an American band scheduling a concert in the home country of the Goliath their country plans to slay at the same exact time. Early start!!!! C'mon Ed! You can make it happen. Hmmmm. Dismissed as coincidence.

Hope Mike starts and ends with the National Anthem. :D
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.

Is Berlin the type of city you can go to for a concert without speaking German?

I'm trying to imagine ordering coffee or food, and checking in/out at a hotel, in English. I've seen those tourists here struggling cuz they don't speak English and it ain't really a situation I hope to be in

Berlin is an amazing city. Great people and this venue is special

I'm terrible at languages but it didnt matter, almost everyone I met spoke English. Embarrassing ignorance on my part of course

I lived in Berlin for a month last year and it's pretty easy to get around if you don't know German. It's a city that attracts a lot of tourists and internationals, so they're used to that.

Also, English is taught in German schools, so most people have at least a rudimentary understanding of it - however, in practice, some of the older generation are reluctant to use it.

    Okay so it is happening.

Can someone post links to downloads of the fan made videos of the full shows at Wuhlheide in 2006, 2009 and 2010.

I know they exist as they are available in bits and pieces on You Tube but it would be really good to watch them start to end. Even full uploads to You Tube would be good.

Some of the coffee I've had in the States has been worse than dishwater.

What's with all the seriously weak filter rubbish everywhere?

And I've found good coffee but it's been a mission.

Filtered(or drip) coffee actually has more caffeine than espresso. The hot water is in contact with grains for much longer bringing out more caffeine.

Depends on how much coffee there is in the first place which is my point. And if it's well made.

filter coffee always seems diluted next to a nice double expresso/long black.

either way - the key to both is using fresh beans that have had just long enough to degas

Finding espresso is a mission in the States too :|

I'm buying Jacobs Krönung, which is a German coffee, on amazon. It's rather cheap and tastes way better than any of the American stuff. (comparable to DD Medium roast, but cheaper)

I'm a coffeeholic. I've been disappointed with the coffee situation in American hotels and on trips so many times now that I am bringing my own coffee with me when I'm travelling.
To me it seems like in America, they use too little coffee or just "rebrew" (is that even a word? ) too many times. No aroma whatsoever! :fp: They cannot lure me with their free refills!

I know there are exceptions, but oh my, poor coffeesnob-me has been through a lot over here

But for thread integrity ... Will we get news today :corn:
