I wouldn't take anything under $1000 if you are trying to take the proceeds to buy a Benny...maybe more
" I said there's nothing wrong with what you say. Believe me just asking you to sway. No white or black just grey. Can you feel this world with your heart and not your brain?"
That's a pretty careless assumption...these are 2 of the most expensive vinyls out there, pretty reasonable to me that someone would try and sell one if they don't have the cash to be able to buy the other
Not everyone on this MSG board lives in Seattle or went to the show
Other people out there own it dude

It frosts my ass (no pun intended) when I've waited in 20 degree weather for 3 hours and get shut out of merchandise, and then see it on here as trade bait or FS or whatever.

Sorry maybe I'm missing something here, but why Is everyone assuming that this guy was at the pop up shop and one of the first 50 or so who got the "good" vinyl
It's gift time with Xmas for most people out there so pretty likely time to try and trade your best merch if there is something rare you want
Also,again...not everyone here is in Seattle!
The trade isn't at all unreasonable guys

I'm trying to trade it for another pearl jam vinyl.
Come on? These things just went on sale and you're offering it up for a benny. Its the timing obviously, the ink hasn't even dried on your credit card. Yeah you're trading it for other pj vinyl but I'm going to guess, not assume, that you paid $200 for it at the pop up because you couldn't get a benny and knew it might be possible to trade it up. Should have just posted it on the bay and buy a benny, or wait more than 8 hours before you post it on the forum then feign babe in the woods syndrome.

This is reasonable. I probably made an error posting this how I did. I hate eBay though, have never used it, and hope never to need to. A direct trade would be ideal. But yeah, this kind of criticism I can handle.
The larger issue, though, is that by raising the cost of rarer vinyl themselves, 10c is encouraging a secondary market.

I completely agree that 10c is encouraging a secondary market. For a band that proclaims its love for vinyl and lowering prices they sure have a funny way of doing things. Hey I don't blame you though, I would love a benny to complete all the vinyls as well I think what is worse is people that keep them sealed on a shelf, its music, you're supposed to listen to it!!! Best of luck, I hope I didn't come off as a dick

That last statement is a cop out. Honestly, this was for charity and folks should not be taking advantage of other people via this vehicle. 10C should have jacked up the price on all this stuff and really raised some money. Want a Benny? $700 and you get a charitable donation slip for $600. Want a colored PJ20? $500 and a slip for $450. So on and so forth. Again, it's classic liberal the world will work the way we want it to instead of realizing there are opportunists that turn any good deed into mush (though there is the flip - no pun intended - side of that which is there are hopefully a handfull of folks that put in time and effort and got a truly cherished part of their collection at a somewhat reasonable price in light of today's valuations).
It was for charity. There should be no slinking off to eBay. There should be no rationalizing trades. Buy it if you want it, or leave it for the next person on line. I'm all for open market. I hope the reaction isn't shut LD down as it does plenty of good both for charity (EV and such) and giving fans a relatively safe place to interact and trade. But there's a special place in life for folks that feel the need to fill the need at a charity function.
Good luck with your trade.
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.

No i think they sound the same. It's just weird that they numbered them separately when they're all from the same initial pressing of 2000.
This is a great question.
I am assuming that a Benny with a non-pop up shop number will be worth more $$ in the future.
What? The ones SOLD at the Pop Up Shop have different numbers than the original /2000 that were released?
Let me know!
