Pearl Jam fans in general are pretty tame. The band has grown up and so have the majority of their fans. It's not a punk show with 20-something year olds on the floor; it's a rock show with 30-40-50 year olds. The older the crowd, the less energetic.

Are you positive you don't have the two cities mixed up?

Was in GA for Vancouver...seemed dead. Was in a suite for Seattle, GA looked to be jumping, as the rest of the crowd...maybe it was the free-flowing beverages in the suite :D

i understand that maybe the crowd wasnt that good as other shows,or not much energy..
but why this type of thread are so aggresive and with name calling about the local town fans,,?

You really got an itch to scratch don't you?

He prefaced it with 'copy paste' (indicating he was repeating himself). There were two threads created about the same thing. In the event one sparked conversation while the other didn't... he wanted to express himself and be on the record. That's fair... isn't it?

I've seen EV solo all over the nation and the welcome he got in Seattle ... was second only to Philly. So it ain't the core fans....

    Thank you!

Thank you x 20. Go watch them elsewhere.

The GA pit was rocking sounded great show was intense. Why does every1 complain complain and complain weather it's bout numbers on hands or crowds bla bla bla, in the end that's ur opinion which you are entitled to but it don't make you right you just sound like a asshole. Literally get a reality check you are witnessing history and are a part of something bigger than you bigger than Seattle. Too many Debbie's in this club now.

you have no room to say that he sounds like a broken record... shall I bump all ur Lightning Bolt hate threads?

thank you for letting me vent
enjoyed the setlist for the 12/6 show
  • In Columbus, 2010, Ed joked about the band becoming an organized religion. (I think it was National Prayer Day.) The band could then enjoy all the perks/tax exemptions therein.

To that end, this discourse on Seattle crowds at Pearl Jam shows reminds me of a scripture verse (with apologies to the Seattle fans that bring great enthusiasm to every Pearl Jam show):

"And He said, 'Truly I say to you, no prophet is welcome in his hometown."

    Luke 4:24

  • This will be the last negative post I will choose to read. I'm not sure if I was at the same show...someone mentioned a "lame second encore". Wow...if eruption into yellow Ledbetter is lame then...never mind...if I have to explain it. Supersonic, anyone who realizes what the supersonics meant to this town (which is every person in seattle)!...review mirror, etc. Awesome show, sorry to hear the negativity towards our town. Expectations can be funny. 3 in a row from Singles was off the charts, that movie was based in Seattle so may not mean as much to out of towners. There's a reason the band lives in Seattle, a place where they can walk to the store and be treated like a normal person...

Bummer if the Seattle show was a let down...be careful labeling an entire city and loyal fans who think the world of this band. The people I knew and were around rocked out to a great show. It was the end of a long tour that included a blizzard days before. They were finally back home...comfortable and content, the way people should feel at home.
