Yeah I missed it. I was hopeful that after this last leg of the tour they seemed to have plenty of event specific merch for those that wanted it. I'd hope they could make more of these.
I'll jump on this because this was a bullshit sale.
Just because the name is Lightning Bolt doesn't mean you have to sell them that fast.

Bummer for the folks that were sleeping. 10c should think about holding certain percentage back depending on the time of the emails.
Find it hard to believe that people thought these were made to order like Vault 3. They have done tons of preorders through the years and it seems pretty silly to assume after one instance that stuff is being pressed by the number ordered. The anticipated shipping date should've been the first clue.
Cool package, but it's basically a collectors piece. If you were gonna buy it for listening, don't be too heartbroken. I have a similar set of 3 Snakes and One Charm from the Black Crowes and you wanna know how many times I've listened to it? One of my favorites and I've only been through the whole thing one time. I know, I know....45rpm sounds so sweet....I would've jumped all over a double 12" mastered at 45.
I'll sign, but a petition for something that's a much bigger pain in the ass to produce than a DVD set isn't real likely.
yes, restock please...i thought this was a pre-order to make and hence didnt jump on the computer right away and now i'm kicking myself....
You think you're kicking yourself? I had it in my cart, decided $18.99 shipping to Canada on top of a $50 purchase wasn't worthwhile. So I walked away. D'oh.

Since many people check their email only periodically, a better way to do this would have been to send an email saying that the item would be going on sale three days hence or something like that. By the time I saw the 11 a.m. email at 10 p.m., I had no opportunity to buy the thing if I wanted to.

How about this for a suggested limited edition merchandise roll-out?
-PJ Inc. sends an email out, telling us about the upcoming limited edition ______. There will be a limit of one per Ten Club member, and it will be on sale between _____ and _____, and based on demand, will ship by *insert date far in the future so that the only possibility would be for them to pull the date closer*.
-The band could add an economies of scale option as well, which could be good for PJ Inc. and us - the fans. I would assume to press vinyls, the cost per vinyl is based on a certain number of sales. So, PJ management could set the prices (and actually be transparent about it) so that we all know that when 4,000 are sold - we pay $5 less (just an example, by no means suggesting actual dollar values). When 20,000 are sold - we pay $7 less. Whatever. The band can still price the products so that their margins are where they want them.
-The quantity requested gets sent to the manufacturer, and they manufacture to order - or maybe double if it's UMG to account for the fact that nearly every one of them will be defective.
-We end up happy, flippers end up sad.

I was lucky enough to receive my newsletter, go to the website & buy one. But, the sale should have been open long enough to cover the different time zones, late newsletter arrivals, etc. A couple of month's ago my newsletter ended up in my spam file. Had this happened this time, would have the same hard feeling's the one's that got left out feel. I still remember the sting of not being in the right place at the right time & missing the white Backspacer(which I had to bend over for on the secondary market, thank's for that one 10 club). So in support of those who feel justly slighted, consider mine: SIGNED!

all jokes aside (that's for the other thread), the vault 3 vinyl work perfectly, why didn't they do that this time around?
I had the opportunity to order, but decided to wait til I got back from running some errands. When I got back, they were gone.
+1
They should be re-stocked simply on the strength of this post
