I have to disagree with the idea of Radiohead hitting the crapper. I don't think their last album was that good but it wasn't craptastic....just sounded like, well, the Radiohead of recent years. Anyway, it's hard to take anyone seriously when they reduce a great record such as Kid A to "blips and bloops."

it's an opinion, dude. I like them better when they leave the effects and keyboards in the other room. simple as that. I didn't like Kid A or Amnesiac, loved In Rainbows, didn't like King of Limbs. I've loved those songs when Thom has played them live acoustically, like at Bridge School.

Yeah, I know. I think it's fine to dislike Kid A or any album in the history of recorded music....nothing wrong with that. However, that record (Kid A) is hardly a "blips and bloops" record. There's a lot going on and while they borrow a lot from "blippy" artists such as Aphex Twin and Kraftwerk, it's a rather lush and organic sounding record. Just my opinion, doesn't matter much.

RHCP - So Boring for the last decade+
    Sepultura - After Max left
Kings Of Leon - After Because of the Times - They can still write a couple of good songs per album, but the rest is trash
Live - Love Mental Jewelery, Throwing Copper. Secret Samadhi was good - The rest is crap
U2 - Never really liked them, but theirs 80 stuff was at least listenable
Muse - Following U2 into mega stadium tours, with songs written for light shows

    SCIENCE is a production masterpiece.

Make Yourself and Morning View are excellent.

    What followed isn't very good.

Though I like the latest album, If Not Now...When?

Foo Fighters dropped off, but the last album is decent.

    I prefer recent MMJ.

Black Keys have always been crap.

Gotta love seeing Ten Club members posting opinions about Pearl Jam hitting the crapper after this or that record. If you hold that belief then why the shit are you even here?

because it IS possible to have a discussion as a music fan and not a pearl jam fan.

    THIS. Wait...what?

Thanks for pointing out the obvious but let me make my point again. It IS weird, to me, for a fan to hold the opinion that Pearl Jam's records since Vs. or Vitalogy or Yield or whatever record it may be are all shite AND still pay the $20-40 yearly fees and spend their free time on the forum speaking negatively about the band's recent recorded output. Doesn't make much sense to me but however people find joy is their prerogative.

i think you're taking 'hitting the crapper' a little too literal. while i would be confused as to why a 10C member would stick around if they classified anything post yield/1997 as shit, but i don't think anyone here is calling anything pre-binaural out.

there is a difference between being critical and calling something shit. can anyone here honestly say that riot act/self titled/backspacer were the bands best efforts? you are almost making it seem that one is a lesser fan for being critical of what the band puts out. hell, the band JUST released their best record in 13 years. 13 years! if you don't think that's a decline (and fair enough, some people will say since riot act, but that was still a decade ago)...

and i enjoyed riot act, most of self titled, and none of backspacer. refreshing to hear lightning bolt... maybe this will be a nice, steady incline for the next 13 years.

Yeah, you're right. Being critical is surely alright, and that's what was happening on this thread. But there are those people on the forum that do occasionally talk about PJ as if they are total shit and I have to wonder why they waste their time and money here. Being critical doesn't make one more or less a fan...I never was trying to get that across so sorry if it seemed like it. For the record, I don't love Avocado and Backspacer. I think they're kinda weak links in the PJ canon but I'd never spend my time and money to come on here and complain about them. I'm not a drinker of the kool-aid as was mentioned before haha.

    Peace!

If you're talking technically, then absolutely not.

SCIENCE is insane. And Dirk Lance is long gone and is a way better bassist than Ben Kenney.

They were way better from the start until Morning View than they have been since.

I disagree with Interpol. My opinion is that the last album was EPIC!! Love that record!

Now if you're talking about Incubus, then I do agree they've gone to the shitter. The last "good" album was A Crow Left of the Murder, but even that had signs of decline. Light Grenades was trash and the last one I couldn't even get passed the first 2 songs.
