edit: MAYBE I WILL TRY THE FIRST PAGE UPLOAD FIRST BEFORE I OPEN MY MOUTH.
I can't remember if it was in the old thread or not, but I downloaded 8/23/00 Jones Beach as a zip file. One of the files is corrupt, Present Tense wasn't properly compressed, so it won't download.
When someone has the time, I would appreciate if they could please re-upload this show?
set: Sometimes, Grievance, Corduroy, Whipping, Do The Evolution, Animal, Evacuation, Red Mosquito, In Hiding, Even Flow, Mankind, Untitled, MFC, Rearviewmirror, Present Tense, Given To Fly, Thin Air, Off He Goes, Black, Jeremy, Immortality
enc 1: Go, Insignificance, In My Tree, Elderly Woman, Better Man/(Save It For Later), Smile, Baba O'Riley
enc 2: Yellow Ledbetter
notes: During 'Sometimes,' Ed makes some errors on guitar, prompting Mike to look over and put both his fingers in his ears. At the close of 'Evacuation,' Ed greets the crowd: "How's that, fuckers?" He references the chemical spraying the previous night (an effort to combat the West Nile Virus carried by mosquitos), which leads to 'Red Mosquito.' 'Untitled' is a much longer version with different verses. Ed talks to Stone and then says that Stone wasn't afraid to arrive in a helicopter but he's afraid to play 'Breath.' Stone retorts: "Should I tell you the song that Ed doesn't have the guts to play or not?" Ed says they've come to a "mutual disagreement" which leads to 'Elderly Woman.' The 'Save It For Later' tag includes the first verse of the song. Ed makes reference to various NY venues (from the Wetlands to Roseland to Irving Plaza to CBGB). There are no political speeches. Before 'Smile,' Ed talks about a special harmonica he got in Paris and how he's been saving it for a special moment and he gives it away. Mike tosses a little of Zep's 'Over The Hills And Far Away' into 'YL.' Everyone is in a great mood .. at one point, Mike kisses Jeff

My personal opinon is this is the best show of the three at Jones Beach. A classic!

enc 1: Better Man, Black, State of Love and Trust, Once
enc 2: Yellow Ledbetter
notes: Mike takes the stage and plays with Goodness before PJ's set. The rarely played 'Pilate' is noted as "this song was born in Montana." There isn't a particular 'Daughter' tag, although Ed takes this opportunity to acknowledge the many fans gathered on the large M on the hill outside the stadium: "Can you hear me? If you can, stand up and jump around" and they do while the crowd inside cheers 'MFC' kicks ass!! At the start of the first encore, Ed brings a fan on stage who brought a sign requesting 'Better Man.' He proposes to his girlfriend on stage and the band plays 'Better Man.' (Isn't that sweet??) At the start of the second encore, Jeff thanks his Mom and Dad and the promoter and Ed thanks Matt for drumming. This version of 'Yellow Ledbetter' is much like the version performed at last year's Tibetan Freedom Concert. Consensus is that Mike was on and Matt excelled.

Once again, a big THANK YOU to all who have uploaded shows to share with all of us fellow Jammers! Somewhere in the previous download thread I downloaded the 09-29-96 Randall's Island (New York) show. Eddie has three speeches during the show. The problem is, is that I don't know where the speeches belong in the setlist to put the songs in proper order (to burn to cd). I am hoping someone can help me with this slight problem! Thanks in advance for any help any Jammer can give me! Keep on rockin with the Jam!
When i go to download the Melbourne shows off of sendspace the file comes up as an application: octet-stream..... whatever that is. Can anyone help me with this?

set: Release, Hail Hail, Brain of J, Last Exit, Tremor Christ, Corduroy, MFC, Off He Goes, Alive, Given to Fly, All Those Yesterdays, Daughter, Even Flow, Footsteps, I Got Shit, Rearviewmirror
enc 1: Do the Evolution, Go, Wishlist, Better Man/(Save it for Later)
enc 2: Leaving Here
notes: A very different setlist from the previous night! A few references are made to the recent Jazz/Bulls games. ("Hey, tough luck on that basketball game by the way.") During 'Alive,' a fan (named Jake) throws a Utah Jazz jersey onstage. Eddie blows his nose in it and throws it back in the crowd. 'All Those Yesterdays' (making a live debut here) is for those at the top who are hurting each other. The 'Daughter' tag is once again unidentified, something about "go away little girl". During 'RVM,' a roadie takes the stage in a bird mask with sunglasses. (?) Before the first encore, Eddie came out, jumps OVER the amps and then jumps on a roadie's back. Eddie starts saying, "There are a lot of people in this town named Norman, N as in Nancy, Norman." He then asks one roadie what his name is: "James." He asks another one and gets another answer. "See, I don't know, I just heard that this town was full of Normans." (For those who may not know, Salt Lake City is where the headquarters of the Mormon religion is.) Then he says, "Dennis Rodman told me to tell you all to fuck off," and then the band plays 'Do The Evolution.' During 'Go,' when Eddie sings, "Don't go on me," he turns his back on the audience and pretends to open his fly and pee! (Okay, now we KNOW he was hanging out with Rodman last night.) An awesome show with the band in very high spirits and playing incredibly well.
