  • I brought a lady friend to 2nd show in Brooklyn. It was her 1st and my 2nd pj show (1st was 2010 in Hartford). She complained about seats around section 230 behind stage in nose bleed section. She stayed at bottom of staircase with 2 other guys the entire night. If it wasn't for a die hard pj fan from Long Island named Nicole, my night would have been horrible. Nicole had been to several pj shows (2nd of at least 3 on this tour). She cheered me up greatly singing, dancing and having a wonderful time enjoying the show. At one point, after I told her how rude it was for this woman to leave me alone after I paid for ticket, hotel and travel expenses from Connecticut, she brought a smile to my face when she lifted my shirt up, motor boated my stomach and said "cheer up, it's a pearl jam show". I'm still smiling 4 months later. I hope her show in Philly was just as good for her. The following week in Hartford was epic. I'm saddened that I never had the chance to thank Nicole from Long Island. If you know Nicole from Long Island, thank her for being the best pearl jam fan in the world. :-) ps Did EV's singing voice climb up inside you yet and make musical babies lol.

So I'm going to leave a comment for each show and I'm listening to the entire tour (25 shows)...
In order....which I've never attempted before....
I'm going to jam each show a minimum of 2 times in its entirety before I move on to the next show...
As I'm jammin' to them I make notes on the cardboard/paper cd covers, ie,..the vibe, sound, crowd, setlists, band members if they on fire,.etc etc...(actually been doing this since the 2000 tour with the cardboardpaper sleeves)...
I also refuse to look at the setlist before I play the show, a must for the magical Jam.... I get to take a road trip usually once a week or so with my job of which I get to jam PJ volumn full on the truck stereo and it's almost like being there....ehh... almost....
so I do my best to tune in and meditate and envision myself at the show and really really jam away...
I'm only getting thru about 2-3 shows a month so its going to take me some time to finish...

So far....just finished the first run of this Brooklyn 2 show and sorry fellas but its the best of the tour so far...
I know there are some goodies coming up as I checked the set lists back when they came out....but haven't looked since...
(yep, I am excited for charlottsville...)...

    Peace, love, family and PJ.....Curly

PS....Footsteps, yellow moon, all those yesterdays, and Future Days....
(Brian F couldn't have picked this run better in Amsterdam)....

I'm traveling to Denver for Wednesday's show, if it's half as good as Brooklyn 2 I will be a happy camper.

I had this thought yesterday about night 1. It was weird I've never really thought of a show's anniversary before. I guess cuz it was recent enough that I still remembered the date? Idk.

What a night. Unbelievable. Thank God I got my fix in Detroit this year.
  • This show should be released as a concert DVD.
  • In anticipation of this year's tour, I was thinking about songs I haven't heard yet, and would love to hear in 2016. I was reminded of Brooklyn 2 which was my 11th PJ show, and I can't believe how many unbelievable songs I scratched off my list at this show:

    Rats
    Blood
    Whipping
    In Hiding
    All Those Yesterdays

Rats & ATY were a coin flip for my white wale at the time. (Now it's No Way, hoping for it in Philly!)

After 14 PJ shows it's hard for me to say which of them was my favorite, but Brooklyn 2 '13 will go down as the best set list I've seen live (unless they top it this year........ Tall order!)

11 years, crazy. I was in the pit this night standing right next to Hunter and his dad about 4 rows from the rail. We kept chanting his name and finally got him on stage. Now at 23 I wonder how many shows he’s been to.
Speaking of dads…between GTF and Betterman there was a commotion in the pit and my dad actually got knocked down to his knees, he got up ready to fight and when he looked up it was Rodman fresh off his North Korea trip.

Cheers to the boot I’ll be spinning today! Got it ranked as #11 out of 62. Fortunate to say that my top 25 are all legendary/epic shows.
