My bro has been saying that for years. Don't get me wrong, matt is a great drummer but ever since he came on full time the songs have gotten faster and faster live to the point the studio versions are more fun to listen too. I'd take 5 less songs if they played the others at a slower tempo.[/quote]

Present Tense?! Rats?! I get up for 10 minutes to make some ravioli and come back to what is now officially the best set list of the tour. Can't. Even. Handle. This.

It's looking again like New York is going to get the show of the tour. Lucky bastards!

way too early in the tour to make that call, especially with 2 nights in philly still to come, plus a pile of places they have not played in a very long time....

    Exactly.

For sure. We'll know in an hour and a half exactly how good this one is. Could set the bar too high to top. Have to assume Breath is still coming, at the very least.

fingers crossed for dallas and OKC...

something about OKC on a saturday night and all the faithful driving over tells me that just might be rarities night... :D

I'm on the same page with you man! Something about that weekend has the makings of something special.....playing two places they haven't played in a long time and fans who are drooling at the mouth for some shows, weekend shows, the kickoff of Leg 2, and almost everyone going to Dallas you can count on making the road trip to OKC. Something about that weekend just has this kind of unique, trippy vibe to it and I see OKC being a rarity fest!

    Can't wait....can't wait.

I'm currently watching the Leafs/Blackhawks game and there is PJ love in Chicago. I've heard MYM, Getaway, and Breakerfall between plays (and CBC played Sirens before the game). :)

i caught getaway this morning on the sports network...

still can't believe that hasn't been busted out live yet...

    MSG 1 2010 here

MSG 1-2 2010 here. Amazing nights, setlists, crowd... Night one still ranks in my top 3 shows. The crowd was UNREAL. It sounded like all of Ny was singing along. If these shows were at MSG, not Brooklyn I would be there now instead of choosing to do Philly. Haven't been there yet and always great shows. Hartford too!

Leaving early tomorrow and can not wait!! :)

I think it will be a special weekend. Don't get me wrong, I love hearing a rare song, but I don't want an entire show with rarities. The crowd usually isn't into it, because most fans aren't completely hardcore like us, I like a good mix of hits and a few rarities, just my 0.02.
40+ shows, it is never enough!

I am SO regretting my decision today to not spend every last penny to my name to take a train down to Bklyn and pay an obscene amount of money on a ticket. Bills? Pssshhtt... whatever.

At the risk of jeopardizing my Pearl Jam Fan Credibility...that's exactly how I felt about the Vic. Part of what makes a rare song special is when it's, well, rare. But the Vic was so full of rarities it reached a point where the element of surprise was gone, and with it one of the best things about seeing Pearl Jam. Don't get me wrong: it was an incredible experience. But it was far from the best Pearl Jam show I've ever seen, because the closest thing to a "holy shit!" moment was "Wishlist"--because it wasn't a "holy shit!" moment. ;)
