I was wondering about this the other day... Thanks for posting
Garden II dvd would be orgasmic! :D
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...
... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.
While the Garden is historic and all that....doesn't it seem a little unlikely that they would release another dvd from the garden? Knowing PJ, I think it will be somewhere different for the next dvd....
But hey, after seeing that setlist, I hope they release another garden dvd...
I have the msg in 03 on my dvr. msg network played it last week. Like 2 1/2 hours of the concert were shown. I have been watching it over and over to prepare for tonight.
someone told me their making Mansfield 1 the DVD, who knows, just a rumor, lol
BOO
I pledge to you a government that will not only work well, but wisely, its ability to act tempered by prudence, and its willingness to do good, balanced by the knowledge that government is never more dangerous than when our desire to have it help us blinds us to its great power to harm us.

i dunno...
i was right behind mike's guitar pit for the dvd show in 03
and it completely changed the path of my life.
it was by far the best show i've ever seen.
maybe the dvd doesn't show its majestic majesty,
but to be there and to be able to relive it again and again...
it was a very special night,
and there is a reason it was released on dvd
and not any of the other shows from the tour.
but hey,
if you don't like it,
more for me!
if i knew where it was, i would take you there-
there's not much more than this! (7-8-03 version)

You do have a good point. Maybe the DVD didn't really capture the magic of this show.

I know its not live but what do you think about Yield and SVT?
well, these are just intimate perfection
I was really only thinking of what is (to me) a downward spiral in how PJ has packaged their live experience with over-production of the DVDs ... the albums are a different story
Immagine seems to me to be interchangeable with any crappy band's whoop-fest, where TB stood alone on long, uninterrupted sequences of excellent music left untouched. That thing is brilliant with it's understated presentation. With TB you're there; Immagine is just watered-down schmaltz.
I guess in the end I'm not very excited about the prospects for yet now 2008 versions of Even Flow, Alive, YL. That's all.

Binaural + Touring Band = beyond Excellence
Riot Act + Live at the Garden = meh
Avocado + Immagine = ugh
:(
How about Riot Act + Showbox?
I know its not live but what do you think about Yield and SVT?
SVT is my favorite one of them all... but then again Yield is also my favorite album.
