This news item on visions.de (big and trustworthy german music magazine) looks promising:
Ach ja, ein neues Album dürfen wir 2009 auch von Pearl Jam erwarten. Das bislang unbetitelte Werk soll Mitte Juni erscheinen. Man munkelt außerdem bereits von einer Europa-Tournee, die unter anderem deutsche Festivals einschließt.
In English the last line says that there are rumors that the guys will probably hit a couple of german festivals in 2009...

Did mike specifically say no Europe or no anywhere?
Didn't say nowhere else but didn't seem anything extensive was planned anyway..
my money is on the West Coast with 'maybe' some southern dates.0 -
If I could choose I'd have three nights at the M.E.N. Arena, three in London and then Scotland, Wales and Ireland but I'd settle for some shows anywhere in the UK.amongstthewav.es
2006 - Leeds Festival
2007 - London
2009 - Manchester / London
2010 - Berlin
2012 - Manchester I / Manchester II / EV Manchester0 -

That would be horrible.
Agreed!!
Please play headlining gigs in the UK (other than London!!). The north east of England and Scotland are way overdue!!
Other than that, just play loads and loads of Euro shows - and announce them soon so we can make plans!!http://www.wishlistfoundation.org

He didn't say WHY..so it's always possible that it's rescheduled this year (fingers crossed).0 -

If PJ doesn't come, I think Ed would do worse than to book a one-off acoustic gig at The Barbican. It's a 3000 capacity venue, and it's a lovely reverberant room in Central London with easy access to King's Cross and Liverpool Street.0

It's got to be Glasgow....last time they came here was in 2000!!
