Quick Trading Question

I am considering offering a trade situation on here; but, I was curious as to how people conduct thier trades. Is it truly the honor system, i.e. I will trust that you send me your item and you trust that I will send mine? Or, do you have more reliable ways to protect yourselves from being ripped off. When it does involve a payment, it seemd much more prone to fraud - I just want to know if there are any tricks of the trade. I know that this is a trustworthy group and community - but let's be honest, their are shady folks everywhere.

    you sort of answered your own question really

    You should only trade with someone you feel comfortable with, I have never been burned on here, but it does happen, just be careful, ask questions, get reassurance, or consider asking someone to act as an intermediary for both sides if you are not 100%

    if money is involved use paypal, and do not use the gift option

    I would click on their user name and search their posts and see if there's any history of being a bad trading partner or someone who may be of risk
