Global warming...

  • you know a discussion has devolved past the point of any return when people start mocking one's grammar and spelling on the internet.

    who gives a shit?

    Hugh,

You have to admit it was quite ironic and worth noting that someone was calling people flat out stupid... while at the same time making atrocious spelling mistakes and using wrong variations of commonly used words.

I think the 'fun' poked at Blocky for his poor grammar was in good form considering the charges he so eagerly levied at anyone in disagreement with him.

    Nobody truly cares too much.

(note the proper 'too' for emphasizing excessive extent or degree  )

As I said before my son studied environmental geology for 7 years and has been working in the field for 5 years. His first job was in Haleakala National Park- Maui, Hawaii. He was hired to study all of the carbon emissions occurring in this National Park, both naturally from the volcanoes etc. and from all the cars driving into the park. He had to get a baseline and then come up with an action plan to lessen the amount of carbon emissions that occurred in the park. This was actually a bill proposed by Bush. My son ordered and had installed more eco-friendly toilets throughout the park, used all recycled materials to build walkways etc. for human traffic, etc. but when he proposed the idea of having tourists park at the bottom of the park entrance and take shuttles up to the top of Haleahala - 10,000 or 12,000 feet in elevation (don't remember) that idea was shot down. I know they do this in some of the National Parks. Anyways, the government did not want to spend the money. Then he was hired to go to Honolulu (Oahu). This island is the most populated of all the Hawaiian islands. Oahu is economically suffering more than the other islands because Hawaii's biggest industry is tourism. When it rains hard in Oahu, some of the beaches have to close down due to - too high of a bacteria count in the ocean's waters. Can you imagine spending all of this money to vacation in Hawaii and not be able to go on the beach. So his environmental firm has completely updated the sewage systems, once a month they have huge environmental fairs to educate the people, and they also have to visit all of the businesses and hotels, resorts etc. to make sure they are following the enironmental codes. Unfortunately, he has to cite many resorts for not following these codes as they continue to pollute the hell out of the ocean. I do not know if any of you have ever been to Hawaii, but because my son lives there, I go every year. It truly is paradise. However, economics, greed, money etc. People will not change their ways. I do not know the answer, but I do know we are polluting and destroying the planet. So people can argue all they want, but reality is we need to find a way to stop polluting to this magnitude!!

soo ... is it that you don't believe the science of global warming or is it because you've attached global warming to be a gov't conspiracy? ... in that global warming is a propaganda piece utilized by the gov't to impose laws and taxes and impede your freedoms ...

I myself don't believe in any conspiracy involving the government ... However I do believe governments are going to use climate change to impose taxes, because that's what governments do ...

this makes no sense ... so, if the gov't imposes a carbon tax ... it's automatically bad? ... they should do nothing about it? ... they should continue to allow us to use resources and energy without paying the true cost?

So when is enough in regards to taxation. How much of my labour does the government really think they are entitled to? Maybe the government should learn to live within their means ... what a novel idea, eh. Of course I'm sure your free to offer more of your money to the cause.

Please support my plan to achieve energy independence for each individual.

Build a solar panel ring around the equator then use Tesla's principals to distribute the electricity to the entire planet.
    I found my place......and it's alright

but your problem is with taxes ... not with global warming ... however, now you are putting yourself in a position where there is a no-win situation ... if the gov't does anything about it - you are going to take your agenda on taxation and rail against it ... if they don't - then things continue to get worse ...

You are exactly right ... here's an idea ... work within their means ... in 2004 the Ontario Government had revenues in and about 77 billion a year, in 2013 revenues grew to 116 billion, so maybe, just for once government should use some vision and budget for these issue. Like I said how much of my money does the government think they are entitled to? and sure go ahead tax industry, add eco taxes to every product no problem, I'm sure more taxation and fees will fix the problems of the economy. But at least adding fees to products I have a choice. But as far as Im concerned when I see a noticeable amount of litter in place like bruce national park there is likely very little hope for this earth anyways ... maybe they should start teaching and educating people about waste disposal containers.
