  • It would have to have Stone's funky dance from from Hamilton or Montreal, were Ed said Stone can sing anytime he wants, and Stone says he'd rather dance, lol
"Music, for me, was fucking heroin." eV (nothing Ed has said is more true for me personally than this quote)

  • i heard they are gonna make a dvd of the borgota, but htats just my 2 cents
    "Pussies no more"
"Johnny we miss, Pete your still the greatest"
  • "I don't agree that they would not do a DVD simply because there's a new record coming out in early 2006. After all, I would imagine they'll do a great US tour, and likely release a complete show to DVD"

I agree...what also plays into my mind is where the band members thoughts are right now. Although he hasn't been "over the top" anti-Bush or anti war vocally on this tour, I think it means allot to Ed and the band to be touring in Canada right now, considering their feelings about the direction this country is taking.

Lets not turn this into a political post...I just think thats one more issue that makes this particular part of the tour special to the band and I think the energy and playful mood really reflects it.

So...another reason I think there is a chance it could happen!!

  • They could easily release a showbox style DVD, no promo, no fancy artwork, just a nice DVD for the club.

  • Ain't seen the folks with the cameras like before. Only the ones mounted on the stage.

Yeah A 2005 type Touring dvd would be great. If they do not release Gorge as its own dvd, I hope we see some of it on a dvd mix with the Canadian shows. I am soooooo Jealous, cause I am hearing so many great things from each show. I want to see this dance Stone did too!!

  • I'm never against releasing an entire show as a dvd, but I think it would almost be a shame not to do a Touring Band-style mixed moments dvd from the Canadian tour.

I think we all want to see Ed go into Thunder Bay's crowd, Stone do his dance in London, Mike thanking the people who helped organize the CCFC pre-party benefits, the tuxes and Harvest Moon in Hamilton, and of course, Bono in Toronto.

And really, isn't a bit of running gag that Canada is, like, one city? "You're from Canada? You know Jim?"

Add-in to see Ed front row standing on the barricade holding 10C members hands with security holding his legs starting a huge arena chant then blasting through the last chorus in Porch in Saskatoon...yes we definetly need a DVD of this tour...something like TB2K...even with the grainy video...I loved the grainy video of that DVD....
  • Canadiens is french for Canadians before it was a hockey team name, in the past, Canadiens was the word to describe what is known today as Quebecers before the Union act, just to let you know... and the Habs will kick your team's ass (i don't know which one it is :)) this season ;)

And I won't go into the Masacre at the Molson Centre... or the Miracle at Molson... sure it was WAY BACK in 2002... but I hold onto it like it was yesterday... lol... those games only recently were replaced as the greatest events I have ever witnessed by the two PJ concerts I saw this year.

    Cheers,

  • This is a pic from the Winnipeg show. This may be a dumb question, but I'm not "techie" enough to know for sure...

is this a camera, or some kind of strobe light / other technical thing that's not a camera?

Anyways, kind of looks like a camera to me.

A Touring Band 2005 dvd is a fantastic idea. Perhaps they would wait until after Latin America to put it together. Just guessin' here.

One thing I've noticed is that Pearl Jam and their organization seem to archive EVERYTHING. There's not a performance or out-take that's not captured and catalogued. Somewhere (probably in Seattle) there is a Pearl Jam vault of soundboard audio recordings of concerts, performances on video, artwork, movie footage and studio tapes which have never been made available to us. Maybe one day PJ will open up the treasure chests and give us access.

Hahah they can show Stone's dance then cut to Ottawa and show him introducing and singing Don't Gimme No Lip.
Also Black from Ottawa is a must!

  • A couple DVDs of different complete shows would be great too. But yeah, a collection of different songs from Vancouver to St. John's would be quite killer. Hopefully they include lots of CALGARY!

i think that it would be a great time to release a TB video because they stepped out of the bubble and travelled to places few bands have gone (let alone heard of) before. it's a whole different audience dynamic, not to mention most people who went to shows for the first time will be buying at least one copy. (i'd have to pick up a few--two for myself and copies for friends who couldn't get tickets.)
