A DVD from this tour would be so awesome...with the band playing so tight, mixin it up, havin fun...I think it would make parts of TB 2000 seem like a funeral (although I LOVE that DVD). But the band was still recovering from Roskilde...a difficult year.

There would be so many awesome clips to choose from! Although....has anyone seen any cameras filming at any venues? Haven't spotted any hand helds as were used to film TB2000.

  • We need a DVD if for no other reason than to see Stone's dance moves from London!!!
makes much more sense to live in the present tense
  • Good point. No doubt some INCREDIBLE shows coming up on that leg of the tour!

  • they'll wait until major touring is over to do it.

what if.. pearl jam release a terrific dvd of canada...

but a leg of the north american tour afterwords turns out to be the best of their careers?

    PLUS

    no new songs for canada.

for a 2005 dvd they'll wait for the album's tour.

    definetly.

sorry to bring you down :)

  • stones moves...so great. I just want to hear him say "I don't want to sing, I want to dance!"

I think I'll steal that the next time someone pushes me towards a mike.
  • I wouldn't be so sure...Riot Act plus a few so far off Lost Dogs and some great covers and being in Canada in front of awesome crowds at a time when the US is fucking up majorly? Plenty of reason for a DVD!

Might not happen, but I'm stayin hopeful!

I think they should just release a DVD of the Ottawa show :)

So far, IMO, the best show of the tour, but I betcha tonight and maybe St. John's will rock - possibly more than Ottawa . . . .

  • If PJ felt they should release DVDs for the Showbox and Live At the Garden, they have got to give this some serious thought....especially since this band hasn't jammed like this since '96 or earlier and to be honest, after all the footage from the past, I don't think I can recall them smilin and havin so much fun....ever....honestly. Although the VFC show last year came close in St. Louis.

    DVD DVD DVD :)

    yes... dvd's please.

for those fans... (like me) who can't see them, even if they have a US tour...

give us some attention. release a dvd... whether it be a single show... or a compilation... i don't care. i just want to at least... get 5% of the experience of the shows... through dvds...

even for 5%... please give us some...

  • I have said it a million times that a DVD of the Canadian tour would be incredible...like one person said the energy being shown currently is pretty much non existent in the last DVD's....I also love the DVD's...but the energy being shown is amazing...the crowds are fantastic...I would love to see this come to pass....

No kidding. We have been going to shows since 1993, and this Canadian tour is the most electric so far. I would love to see a DVD of it. Or of anything PJ for that matter! But, they seem to be having so much fun on this tour in particular. The crowds have been so great. At least in Vancouver and Winnipeg, the shows we were at!

  • How about something from canada on the x-mas (easter) 10C single? That could work out well.
  • hell yeah, this tour has kicked ass & the candiens have been amazing , i would love a touring band CANADA.

CanadiEns are the hockey team in montreal... CanadiAns are the rest of us...

I only mention this because I HATE the MONTREAL CANADIENS... again this is all in good fun... you'd be surprised how many people do this.

Incidentally I would buy about 10 copies of a Canadian tour DVD to give to the people who looked at me as though I was on crack when I told them this wasn't so much a concert as it was a spiritual experience... the proof would be right there fo rthem to see.

    Cheers,

  • i agree.

this tour has been so memorable for everyone involved.
  • agreed-- they have to make a DVD-- so many highlights of this entire tour-- and perhaps include the Bono version of RITFW as a bonus or something--- would be nice to have an all encompassing view of the tour-- because I will make myself broke constantly buying bootlegs-- it's like a drug addiction...
Hear My Name, take a good look, this could be the day!
  • I don't agree that they would not do a DVD simply because there's a new record coming out in early 2006. After all, I would imagine they'll do a great US tour, and likely release a complete show to DVD.

I think we all believe this to be a great idea, and maybe some proceeds could go to CCFC, since they have done such a great job at all the pre-parties. There have been so many great memories, it would be great time for a DVD.

  • I think this would be an awesome thing for them to do. I mean, they love our country and this is the first time they've done any tour like this. Why wouldn't they release a DVD about it? Makes sense to me... but I'm biased.

Canadiens is french for Canadians before it was a hockey team name, in the past, Canadiens was the word to describe what is known today as Quebecers before the Union act, just to let you know... and the Habs will kick your team's ass (i don't know which one it is :)) this season ;)

    who asked you :P

seriously though, I can't see why if what you say is true, they can't release another. Or, release a Canadian dvd only in Canada. I'm sure there are enough Canadian fans willing to buy and pay whatever price they charge.

  • I would buy one or 20.

I would LOVE to see a Cnd tour DVD, that would be fucking amazing to see! I'd love to see the Winnipeg and Thunder Bay clips. Out of the shows that I went to, I only saw a camera in Toronto, one hand held when Bono was on stage and one at the back of the flr. They must of had one in Hamilton to film the video for "Jack and Jen".

The London show with Stone shaking his ass, Hamilton with the tuxs for Harvest and in Kitchener with Eds fuck ups and the insane crowd would make for a killer DVD!
  • I'm not sure if it was Saskatoon or not, but Eddie said that the first 4 songs of 1 of the shows were going to be broadcast in the US.
  • I hope on daily basis that they release a Canadian DVD of this tour....need to witness the energy of PJ over and over and over and over and over and over and over 1000x again.....
  • a dvd would be sweet!!!
