IMO, stripping isn't usually degrading to women. It's degrading to men. As a guy who has been to a few strip clubs in my time, believe me......its degrading to men, not women. Women hold all the power in there. Men walk in with fistfuls of cash, or their ATM card (with massive service charges, btw) and women bilk them out of their money. Although some places are seedy, most don't allow sex, so its not like its a sex shop. Guys go in, the grils flirt with them, and the guys drop their money for an unspoken promise that never happens.
If you sit and watch the girl pick-up her dollar bills at the end of her set, it is rather degrading for them. They usually are covering with one hand and shoving dollar bills into their small purse while trying to get out of the way for the next 'act.'
How is that degrading? If they are comfortable being naked, and they are picking up money, I dont see what the problem is. Its not my position to tell someone what should be degrading to them.
That being said, I know its degrading to men. All that money....lost....:)
I walk past one 33rd street, stop but never go in. The reason I stop is because they have a TV in the window and I want to see the sports scores before I continue on.

OK first off as far as the comments going on that it is degrading to the women, lets remember they chose the career that they are in. No one is forcing them to dance. strip and pick up thier money whist "trying" to cover up.
Secondly, in the same regard, its not degrading to men either, we/they choose to go in and drop all that cash on women they can't go home with. Again, freedom of choice.

I have gone to strip clubs with my wife knowing and and I have gone to a strip joint with her. Frankly she finds the stories amusing, how the women are dressed or undressed, what they did to me as far as a lap dance goes etc. Because, just like 2010WIGTF said there is a trust and honesty there.
its the individual and the choice of the individual(s) involved that makes it cheating or not but, On a personal level...no, going to a strip joint and getting lap dances be a man or a woman, in my opinion is not cheating.

And I think only you would understand how impossible that seems given how dirt cheap and awful it is there. He woke up and thought someone stole his card but went back and looked at every receipt to see his handwriting. Obviously blacked out, but I can't even imagine what that kind of money got him that night. Shit, $100 there and you the big spender of the night.

haha. oh i believe it. i never saw $2000...but i've seen people spend about half that. probably only took a few hours too.
as grimey as that place was (and it was really fucking grimey ), i still had some good times there. if you went on an off night, you'd get some delilahs or cheerleaders girls working some extra shifts there on their off night.
