My Morning Jacket are playing 5 shows in NYC. Every night is a different album.

"Playing at the city's Terminal 5 venue, the group will perform a different album in full each night, plus additional songs and covers from each album's time period.

Beginning with their 1999 debut 'The Tennessee Fire' on October 18, the band will then chronologically play their next four albums, finishing the gig-run with 2008's 'Evil Urges And beyond!' on October 23."

While I sat here in England quietly weeping that they haven't brought that tour to Europe. Must have been an overwhelming experience.
If I knew where it was, I would take you there...

This would be the best thing ever if this happened... I think they could easily sell out MSG and do this, but maybe two albums per night vs one

I seem to remember someone posting a thread in the last few weeks with a list of fav live downloads, one of which i'm sure had the entire Avocado album on it.

Well since I have heard most of Ten, Vs, and Vitalogy live already, I think that I would have to pick No Code!

But to repeat what others have said, any album heard live would be great!!!

I'm apparently in the minority here, but I'm good with them never doing this. To me, what's best about a PJ show is that you never know what song is coming next and you'd lose that if they jumped on this "play an album start to finish" gimmick that others are doing lately.

That said, I went to one of the final NIN shows last year, and it was the first one where they played "The Downward Spiral" (webster hall, NYC) start to finish. That was awesome because it was a surprise (unannounced and it had never happened before) and is just arranged very well with songs leading one into another.

I'm of the opinion that PJ will never jump on this bandwagon, but should they I hope at least that it remains unannounced and just...happens. They are the last band in the world who would do what MMJ is doing in NYC (5 nights, 5 albums) and that makes me happy.

I'm pretty sure they wouldn't announce it if they were planning on doing it. 8-)
