Thought I would add some tour news...Dixie Chicks are here in Hali on August 8....also slated for St John.....and well...Hillary Duff is coming back in July.
Might check out the chicks just to support them through an obvious blacklisting...and frankly..I like some of their stuff. H.Duff...ummm...no...but I know lots of kids who missed out the last time when it sold out so fast...and will be quite happy!
Oh and I guess Randy Travis is coming. Good time to be a country fan I guess (If there is ever a good time)...along with the big country concert in Moncton.0 -
don't forget Glass Tiger will be at the Darmouth Waterfront June 30 ...
a must see event ..0 -

this thread needs an enema!
sorry...i was having a batman moment.
i need to stop listening to boots from the first leg...they make me sad. sad that i'm not there. sad that it's not looking good for us this year.
however, it also makes me happy. makes me look forward to what is to come!i. am. mine.0 -
wow, did i offend with my enema comment? cuz this thread needs one now or something! bottom of page two!

LIVE would be pretty cool. Anyone remember Shit Town ? Cool tune. I've got a later album, psychodelic cover with When Dolphins Cry, and all that horseshit. Not a bad album actually.
Well, I've changed computer labs, so my thoughts should be a little purer now. LOL. Alas, there's nothing noteworthy to convey in a coherent fashion presently.....
How 'bout this ? All Hail PJ. Hard To Imagine as an opener - whoa. Something has to be done about PJ returning. I'll throw that out as a fucking challenge to anyone............maybe something more concrete has to be devised asnd implemented........0 -
I agree that Live would be cool....but I think it was a big error in booking the Metro Center. That decision itself is almost pushing me from taking a chance and getting a ticket. Move it to the Marquee and make it a sell out. Better than being 7000 tickets short of a sell out at the Metro Center and having to cancel it.0

that sounds like a much more feasible idea than cancelling a show and making people think that Halifax doesn't want live music.i. am. mine.0 -
a month from today ..
update on the Live show ... i just checked out ticketatlantic.com . i did a search for 1 full price ticket .. best seat in the house .. the return answer .. FLR Section 54 Row 3 Seats 6 .. right up front.

i would have liked to have those kinds of seats for the PJ show. I was up in nosebleed land in section 39 near the top.
they looked like ants from up there, but they still sounded incredible.
maybe they should combine the Live and Hilary Duff show. god...could you imagine!?!?!i. am. mine.0 -

Sorry to rub it in a bit Lanners..PJ..row 10 on the floor. Amazing. Have you joined the fan club in case they do happen to come back??0 -

I was in Section 53 Row 2 (Row 13) on Mike's side on the Floor. Not bad for having joined in late '04. You lucky bastards though, sward and demetrios!!0

i was a 10c member back in the early-mid 90s...too bad i let it lapse! i could have been right on the floor. i keep meaning to dig out my stuff to see what number i had.
i haven't rejoined because i figured that since i don't have a credit card, i wouldn't be able to get tickets anyway. my brother is the one with the card, so i'm trying to get him to rejoin. i'm pretty sure he was a member years ago, but like his big sis, let his membership lapse.
i'm off topic now, but i just spent the most glorious day at a lake, basking in the sun and swimming in water so clean we felt cleaner than we normally do after a shower here in the city. i am glowing (not just from the sunburn) and i think i'm going to put on a boot (haven't decided which) tonight and bask in that glow and be happy as i scratch my bug bites.

This is off topic too..but good for a bump. Just watched the start of the Edmonton/Carolina game.....have you heard the Edmonton fans singing both the Canadian AND American anthem. Big example of why i am a proud Canadian...and why PJ needs to treat us to more shows ;-)0

i'm not a hockey fan, but that was a crazy game (from what i watched of it!)
as this father's day winds down (thank god! this has been a rough day for me), i am going to play Man of the Hour in honour of my Man of the Hour who said goodbye to us 2 months ago.
happy father's day dad. :(i. am. mine.0
