    As for hotels, there is a Hampton Inn and Holiday Inn Express on Delaware Ave in Chippewa district. Lots of bars there. That's near where you may want to stay. There's also a Hyatt downtown near there, as well as a hotel in the Avant building. Not sure what the hotel is there. There's a train that will take you from that neighborhood and drop you off at the arena. It's free. All the mentioned hotels are near each other and close enough to the arena. You can certainly walk, or take train. You could also try the Hotel Lafayette or there's a small hotel associated with Pearl Street Grill and Brewery.

    They are building 2 new hotels right next to the arena, but they wont be ready until q3 2014.

    Preshow party should be pearl street. Great microbrews , good food, walking distance, and a lot of space.

    Do not go to chippewa. It has become a rough crowd. Elmwood is tops now. Some good places near the arena now too. Thry are doing a great job revitalizing the area and waterfront, but a lot of bells and whistles wont be in place by october

    I was told that in GA Standing - chairs are there for you (Even though you'll stand of course during the concert). Is this correct?

    What time would we expect people will start lining up for their GA Standing - as to get as close to the stage as possible?

    I doubt chairs. Sounds like a dangerous mess.

    If I chose ga, I would get real comfortable at 10am.

    The arena Box office doesn't open till 3pm to pickup tickets and the doors open at 6pm. this is my first TC GA show. will people be lining up that early?

    I have no experience. That is just when id go. If im 1st by 3 hours, fine. I would bring the cheapest lawnchair, some cards, snacks, whatever. I would have someone hold my spot while I pick up tickets.
