Is that the one in Coney Island? That would be awesome! I've said elsewhere on here that I would love PJ to play Jones Beach, cuz of all their ocean-related songs, it would be such a nice backdrop.

Though Barclays is closer to me...

    Yes Coney Island.

Would be hard to top Jones Beach 2000, and a 3 night in a row blitz.
Not to mention what happened in Uniondale in 2003, they might never visit that county again !

I actually hope they dont play there again - that place has gone downhill steadily and has long lost the small and intimate feeling it once had.
Hell, they even sold beer there once upon a time, long long ago.

Keyspan Park ,if I am not mistaken , is the countries only 2nd oceanfront baseball stadium.
That wouldve been cool, underneath the old parachute ride.
( Pearl Jam couldve opened up with Parachutes or Oceans )

I saw the White Stripes there back in 2005. Amazing show!

Bathy, I hope to see you at Barclays. I'm still working on finding tickets. If nothing else, maybe I'll see you at a preparty.

And PM me your address. I've still got those stickers to send you, buddy!

I was at that show too! that's how I knew the stadium but wasn't 100% sure of the name. I don't remember the set up for that show exactly but i was on the field in a general admission setting and nearly got crushed. Which was really surprising cuz i don't think anyone i was with was expecting the White Stripes to have that kind of madness going on, there was some actual moshing. I'm really lucky that I was with a couple of really big dudes cuz that situation had the potential for me to wind up legit hurt.
I can't believe that was only 2005 it feels like much longer ago.

I don't remember/couldn't see much of the venue and I think they rebuilt some of it since Sandy but I would definitely appreciate PJ playing an oceanfront venue.

For anyone travelling to NYC for the Brooklyn shows and hoping to do a bit of sightseeing, I wanted to share this link: http://www.goldstar.com/new-york It's the kind of thing that you have to sign up for, doesn't cost anything but they send you emails every week or so with 'deals' (kinda like groupon). It has a bunch of events/activities listed with a discount off the usual price. It can be helpful for saving a few bucks and also it has some unique/atypical activity ideas.

Anyone ever sit behind the stage at this venue? What is the seating like? I bought a single in section 3, row 15. The virtual seating charts out there only show rows 18 - 20 for end stage seating in that section, so I'm curious what it's like.

Just wear that FDNY t shirt from our firehouse & we'll make sure you have a good time here.

It use to have pull in NYC, but since Bloomberg took over as mayor the FDNY members can't get away with anything anymore. It seems years ago some fireman got caught banging his now ex wife  .

Saturday, we drink all night. Sunday we'll go to Peter Lugers. Joe mentioned you might want to go there, bring plenty of money. True story, I was there 2 months ago with someone from my firehouse getting drunk at the bar with Ron Darling. My friend wants a picture with Darling. I'm so drunk I give Darling my iPhone & ask him to take a I picture of us  . I was wondering why he gave me such a strange look :fp: .

Met you at PJ 20 & again this weekend at the Full Shilling with Joe.

Forget eating at subway. I know the best cold sandwich shop in Queens. When we didn't cook in the firehouse, we went a bit out of our way to get there.

For those who have been to Barclays... how would you describe seats in the 200s? I have tickets for night two in section 207 row 12. I figured since it is a closer section it shouldn't be bad despite being high up. On the 3d map they looked pretty good.

The sightlines are pretty decent but the way the 200s are built gives off a steep incline.
