Is this the most efficient/cheapest way to do so coming from Hoboken? My sister has a place there so that is where I'll be staying for the few days.. (still need damn tickets though!)

From Hoboken, you'd probably want the PATH train - you'll get off at Herald Square (final stop) in Manhattan, and then switch over to subway and take the Q or D. On the weekend the yellow/blue lines are combined - the train goes from Journal Square toward Hoboken, then into Manhattan.

You can use hopstop to review this and other info.

Cool. How long do you say this process is?

About 30 mins on PATH Train, then not sure about the Q since I don't go that way, (check it out on hopstop) but the G from Brooklyn which is what we take when I'm there, into Manhattan is about 40 mins. Allow plenty of time though, for walking to, and waiting for the train.

I think Jane means the D train from Brooklyn, as the G doesn't go into Manhattan. I have never made the trip from 34th street specifically to the Barclays center, but I would suggest you plan on it taking 45 minutes. I think the Q might be a couple minutes faster than the D but really on weekends it's anybody's guess :)

The Q train is quick from 34th street, as it only stops I think 3x in between (14th St, Canal St, and Dekalb Ave). All in it's about 15mins.

Yeah you're right - I forgot that I get off the G at Court Square because I'm usually starting in Brooklyn these days when I go. It just seems like we're always on the G but we don't always go into Manhattan.

Is it quick like that on weekends though? I typically add 20 minutes to travel times for weekends. Cuz the MTA is stupid.

Is that the one in Coney Island? That would be awesome! I've said elsewhere on here that I would love PJ to play Jones Beach, cuz of all their ocean-related songs, it would be such a nice backdrop.

    Yes Coney Island.

Would be hard to top Jones Beach 2000, and a 3 night in a row blitz.
Not to mention what happened in Uniondale in 2003, they might never visit that county again !

I actually hope they dont play there again - that place has gone downhill steadily and has long lost the small and intimate feeling it once had.
Hell, they even sold beer there once upon a time, long long ago.

Keyspan Park ,if I am not mistaken , is the countries only 2nd oceanfront baseball stadium.
That wouldve been cool, underneath the old parachute ride.
( Pearl Jam couldve opened up with Parachutes or Oceans )

Though Barclays is closer to me...

I saw the White Stripes there back in 2005. Amazing show!

Bathy, I hope to see you at Barclays. I'm still working on finding tickets. If nothing else, maybe I'll see you at a preparty.

And PM me your address. I've still got those stickers to send you, buddy!
    I SAW PEARL JAM
