  • Why would you want it back at Comcast??? Also the GnR show was indoor show not outdoors. And when the doors are shut it doesn't hold nearly as many as XL center. Only 7500 people. I would love it but no way they would play there again after last 3 security debacles there.

There is a reason nothing is listed on the Comcast Center calendar after September: No outside venues in the northeast host concerts in late October. That would be asinine.

Sorry. I had no idea they closed up the pavilion and did shows in there. I didnt actually go the the GnR show.

But there have been plenty of warm October nights in CT, so please excuse my stupidity

Sure... warm enough to be jumping around at a rock concert.
Heard of the ice bowl? October in Wisconsin? Now that was too cold for an outdoor show, but I dont think we get that cold here in October.

The October storm of 2011 had coldness to it, especially with no power for 8 days.

  • I remember that storm well! My son born on the 22nd, my birthday is the 24th, the day we left the hospital & less than a week later we were out of our house because we lost power...for about a week! My son has been through that & the 2012 super storm that killed us with rain! Also a huge snow storm almost a year (10-2012) ...

  We may bitch about the weather, but it's home for us. I hated that October 2011 storm. Once it became dark, there was nothing to do. I would go to sleep at 9 and wake up at 3. I was layered in clothing when I went to bed. We got lucky with Sandy, just rain and wind, but no damage. This past February's blizzard was nuts! When I stepped outside that Saturday morning to start cleaning it, it went up past my knee.

Like you said: I love New England!

For those that are staying at the Hilton (that connects to the XL Center), what types of rates are you finding? I need to pull the trigger soon but I'm trying to find a reasonable rate.
  • Its on ticketmaster now but doesn't say what the onsale date/time is
