if wasnt the lottery and was previous system, and instead of priority of lottery they tell you..:
you can only buy one pair per tour only .wouldnt be the same???
you got only one chance for one pair if you could score with f-5 and the site crash.....so its actually the same
dont confuse the lottery with priority
they could say 1 pair for tour only and you would be screw as you say even with other selling system than lottery..
the band deside..more tix to more different fans ,GA shows for more fan club tixc and GA shows for more energy..
only the ones dont want to see it ...cant see it..
The BIG difference is, when you were allowed ONLY 1 pair, you were guaranteed tickets by seniority. Now you have to RANK your preference and could still get shut out. For example, If I rank Wocester GA #1 and Wocester Reserved Seated #2....I could end up with NOTHING. Where if someone else ranks Wocester Reserved #1 they could end up with seating while I do not. Whereas before at least you didn't have to use god damn STRATEGY to maximize your odds. Your chances were your chances. You only had to pick the show. Now it has become a game.
and after the last interview of Tim,we know there are active 200.000.....the demand is unreal...
pj is a huge band.,.ALL want to see..ther eis no perfect system to score tix,and all be pleased..
1 thing i know..all tickets goes to members..how?????with strategy at priority as you say..
which means nothing if u think about it ,cos u need to be lucky to win the draw,no matter the strategy
and to that proccess, and thats the important no one can do anything..no more "power""...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".

your argument was that you have the same chance, and you don't. You yourself just admitted that the ranking IS important. It was non existant before.0 -
Thanks for all the replies.... what's the point of choosing anything after your first 3 or 4 choices?0
-
My Wrigley experience has me scared. I don't want to put Ga for a show as my first choice and then not get anything. This show, another show, a show here and a show there.0

It would be nicer if they could find a way to have a single lottery per show.
My best suggestion would be:
Single lottery for each show. Have a box for users to click if they are interested in pit tix. Once the draw's are done (and you are allocating the tickets). Have it randomly pick from those people who entered it #1 priority and clicked the box? If there's any left over, they could go to #2 etc...
The big hole in it, is that it would require more work and additional lotteries. I'm guessing they want this to be as hands off (ie computer driven) as possible....
something to think about though.0 -
The only logical thing to do is to buy more memberships to get more #1 choices in the future!

+1. Time for the Mrs. to sign up
edit: do you think the 10c anticipated this? You now have a chance at the best tickets when you're a new member. For the last 10 years you had your crack at the worse seats the 10c had to offer. Will this spark sales of 10c memberships, and did the 10c anticipate this extra revenue?

But if everybody thinks like that, maybe there is an actual chance to get GA tix

I've thought about that too. I'll probably end up submitting for the tickets I want and if I have to go public so be it.This show, another show, a show here and a show there.0 -
I simply honestly chose my tix in order of what I want most. GA first, reserved last.... Yes, it's a risk. But if I don't get what I really wanted, I can seek out someone with a spare GA and hope for the best... plus I have a week to really think about it and change my mind about doing it that way.

I sort of did the same. I want GA so I chose GA Vancouver as my #1, but I don't think Vancouver would run out of 10c tickets, so I ranked Seattle Reserved as #2. I have to assume the Seattle floors will never make it to 2nd choice people. I think put in Vancouver Reserved and Seattle GA later in the list.0 -
 So if you put Vancouver reserved as #3, that means that those who chose them as #1 and #2 would get dibs before you, right? So if you don't win GA, I wonder if you're still have a shot at reserved as a #3 choice? I'm thinking a lot of Seattle fans will have Vancouver as their #3 and #4 choice too, so I'm nervous to put my hometown as anything other than #1 and #2. I am totally fine with not winning tix to Portland or Spokane - I'd probably decide not to attend them at all in that case - but I'll be a bit upset if I don't win for Vancouver! ... Not that I won't be able to go if I don't win, but still... Oh man, I really want GA. I haven't won anything at all in the lottery yet, and I've entered everything that's been available through the lottery so far excluding London (including the test runs and whatever they did for Missoula - that was a draw too I think). Surely this is my time. :PZod wrote:PJ_Soul wrote:I simply honestly chose my tix in order of what I want most. GA first, reserved last.... Yes, it's a risk. I know right. Listen, whether you like the lottery and this system or not, I personally hate it, it should not be a friggin puzzle to choose tickets. being unsure, not knowing how to select your tickets, could end up getting you shut out.PJ_Soul wrote:

i posted this in another thread
ive only been a member for a few years but i think the lottery solves some problems but i think the old way is better just because it was in your hands to get your tickets odds were technically better last tour over here i was able to get one msg show and newark yes it was alot of refreshing to do that but it worked
i doubt i will get 2 of my picks this time if even one..i hope im wrong though0 -
I personally like the lottery because it's most fair (we all know that we can find tix outside of the lottery, but I think a lot of people forget that sometimes) ... the part that's confusing is when there are different ticket selections at the same show. If there was no GA, then this wouldn't be an issue at all. That said, I love that there is GA, so I'm not complainin', just sayin'.PearlJamPatriot wrote:

Anyway, I guess we will all have more to say in a week, when we find out how this system worked for us this time around! However it turns out, I'm cool with it - there is a still a public sale, and 10C members with a ticket to spare.

Yes. If you win once, your other 3 entries are automatically withdrawn (based on your preference).0 -

Cool, thanks for confirming that. Figured as much but wanted to hear it from somebody on here.
