I'm going to go with download of first single AND announcement for release date of album AND announcement of tour dates AND opportunity for a live stream of London and Wrigley. If you're going to dream, why not DREAM BIG!!

I think you're probably not too far off the mark there (except for the Wrigley/London live streams - by that point you're just getting greedy... :P )

No doubt, this place will be an absolute shit show for that entire hour leading down to the final second of the countdown, and after it's over. Good luck to all trying to log in on here during that time and actually hear the announcement.

From what I've heard, the announcement will also be on SiriusXM and the radio station at this website.

Well for what it's worth my local station this morning in Victoria played Hunger Strike and then talked about the countdown and speculated on it for awhile. If nothing else it's good PR. That being said I'm hoping I have a really good reason to drive down the westcoast this fall......
  • once the countdown reaches zero its highly anticipated the aanouncement will be album related, is anyone else thinking they will play the full album on siriusxm and pearl jam radio? sorry if this has already been mentioned but i dont really feel like scrolling over 20+ pages to find out

According to reports, Pearl Jam will release their new single, believed to be called "Mind Your Manners", on July 16.

Sources who have claimed to have heard the song describe it as a lot like "Spin The Black Circle", which was the first single from the cracking third studio album, Vitalogy (1994).

The new Pearl Jam single is out in July and we'll have it first. While the album is being reported for an October release (leaked track listing below).

    Tracklisting
    1. Revolution Reruns (3:36)
    2. Kickstop (2:14)
    3. Vivid Futures (3:58)
    4. Mind Your Manners (3:08)
    5. The Undertow (4:04)
    6. Red (3:23)
    7. Of The Earth (6:15)
    8. Tracking Change (4:21)
    9. Uncharted Terrain (3:59)
    10. Foliage (2:16)
    11. Derision (3:32)
    12. Sans Finis (7:12)

    Earlier On Triple M
Pearl Jam have almost finished work on their 10th studio album with producer Brendan O’Brien, says guitarist Stone Gossard.

"It's almost done and it sounds like Pearl Jam. You’re going to hear some rock songs and you’re going to hear some quiet songs and you’ll hear some song in between," he told Guerrillacandy.com.

"That’s all I can really say about it because we aren’t talking about it yet, so it doesn’t make much sense for me to say anything."

This follows PJ's Mike McCready who last month described some of the tracks as being pretty amazing on the official Pearl Jam Facebook page.

"I think there’s a little bit more experimental stuff going on. There’s a Pink Floyd vibe to some of it, there’s a punk rock edge to other stuff.”

Sounding good fellas. Sounding real good.

My hope is that when the countdown clock gets to zero it will be the release of the new album available for pre-order on vinyl or cd. With that you will get a code to be able to download the album as an MP3.

That way the album wont get leaked like Backspacer was and the real fans will get it first.

Also some general info on a tour to promote the album would be nice. Hopefully a big world tour like the 2006 tour.

I can only hope if and when they come back to Melbourne they play a few shows so I can get a real fix.
Four years since the one show in Melbourne is toooooo long.
