I was down in the pit, about 20 feet back or so on the right. They killed it. My ears are still buzzing. I was surprised we didn't get Burn the Witch. Was hoping for Chemistry and 3's&7's

Oh and it was my first time seeing a show at MPP, and I was really impressed. The security was lax and we could party pretty hard down there. Everyone was outstanding. Can't wait for Jack White in Sept.

The Philly show was pretty great. It was my 1st time seeing them. Brody Dalle sounded pretty good. I wish I grabbed a poster. Anyone get an extra?

Last night's show was phenomenal! I got to be on the rail a little to the left of Josh. I was hoping to hear I Appear Missing, but the show was great nonetheless. I got a set list and one of Josh's picks after and then met the band (minus Jon). They were all incredibly sweet and signed my set list for me and took pictures. Such an amazing night!!!

I was a little to the left also maybe about 10 people. Ninth time seeing them and as always put on a great show. Unlocking The Truth were pretty awesome I thought, crowd was into them. Brody Dalle was good. My problem with her is she sounds and sings too much like Courtney Love who i can't stand.

    set list:
You Think I Ain't Worth a Dollar, but I Feel Like a Millionaire
    No One Knows
    My God Is the Sun
    Smooth Sailing
    I'm Designer
    Monsters in the Parasol

    In the Fade

    Fairweather Friends

    Sick, Sick, Sick
The Lost Art of Keeping a Secret
    Go With the Flow
    Encore:
The Vampyre of Time and Memory
Feel Good Hit of the Summer
    A Song for the Dead

People started going crazy during Sick, Sick Sick which i was a little surprised. Feel Good Hit and Song for The Dead were also very popular (lot of moshing). Highlight for me was hearing In The Fade which they don't play too often.

It's funny the article says he 'left' Queens.. I don't think that's exactly what went down. But perhaps Josh feels like it's time to forgive. Kind of funny that he's a more stand up guy than Roger Goodell and the NFL.

Haha! Yeah it was kind of awkward with him sitting right next to Josh!

  • I'm still hooked on this album...it's damn good. I saw them in Philly in July the day after I flew home from China...so glad i managed to make the jetlag work in my favor!

Incredible show on Halloween. Really cool to see Nick together again with the band, even if it was just to sing and not play bass. First time I had seen him since 2003. Wish he would have sang all of "Millionaire" instead of just the last part but it was a good way to make an entrance and also he should have left "Tension Head" for that encore instead of performing it during his opening slot. Overall though, can't complain as it was a great show. Thankful I was able to see things come full circle with Nick, as well as when Mark Lanegan encored with the songs he sings with band back in 2010 in LA.
Just wish it wasn't the last show of this tour cycle. ...Like Clockwork's been one of my favorite albums of the past few years so I'm eager to see what's next.

I'm a big fan of QOTSA and I definitely think it is their most complete album. It's the deepest one he has done. Not sure I agree that it's one of the best of the past five years, but that's all preference.
  • One of thee best albums of the last 5 years easily. I wish Josh would produce the next PJ record.

I think it's at least in the running for being one of the best 5 albums in 5 years, and maybe top 3. It's pretty much a masterpiece IMO.

  • We can only hope. It's funny to go back at the start of this thread and read through. A lot of pessimism and down thoughts when songs started leaking from this album, but as soon as the leak dropped and people heard the whole thing the gushing began. I am one of the people here who thinks this album is a masterpeice and I'm really happy we're still talking about it.

Someone also mentioned early on that they wish that PJ would put in the studio time that Quenns did for this record. I couldn't agree more. Or just have fun with the next record. Invite friends over!
