I hear ya. Though I dont have kids. I hear ya.BB31967 wrote:rearviewross wrote:BB31967 wrote:Living in New Orleans and being a long time Ten Club member is a love hate relationship. While I love that they are coming to town, this means another time that I do not get prefered tickets from the 10 club. How about offering some single day tickets for 10C members or an area up front? I love PJ but I am having a hard time spending $160 to see PJ from the back of the lawn.
Don't go.
I can't afford to go. It is a bit ironic as PJ didn't play shows in the 90's due to fan cost.
It would cost $320 for me to go. When I joined the fanclub I was a single high school student. 20 years later With a family I can't afford $320. If they played New Orleans Arena I could have spent $120 and had a great time. Maybe next time. Enjoy the show if you can make it.
10-15 years ago I would have jumped on a plane, and flown all over to see the band.
Those days are LONG GONE.
Priorities, and common sense tell me I will NEVER again travel and pay big money for hotels and airfare to see a band.Take me piece by piece.....
Till there aint nothing left worth taking away from me.....0 -
yeah i get the money thing too op...i have kids and to drop that much on one show is a lot. festivals aren't terrible....they're playing a live show so how can it be bad? the made in america festival was awesome. now mind you i'd love to see them at their own show but maybe the reason for the festival is that ticket sales were terrible in 2003. they had to move the venue because of such low sales.I'll ride the wave where it takes me......0

Ah, spoken like a true poor-broke-stupid-fucking-good-for-nothing-shit-face-loser.
How dare you insult the Business World and our secret knowledge that we so skillfully apply to the purchasing of tickets to rock concerts?!?
May your credit score drop like the turd from a deservingly homeless man's lazy asshole!0 -

Thanks for that mental picture.

yeah they don't play shows in Des Moines - so travel is expected.
If they did i would gladly pay the 175 or whatever - i would save so much money on travel expenses.
I feel like i am the only one on here who loves festivals - so much variety. I guess if i only listened to PJ and had no desire to ever hear another band then festivals would suck0 -

I think ball breaking doesn't translate well to written text very well. Kind of like sarcasm. Unless you know the person well.Forced to endure, what I cannot forgive.0 -
based on the last 2 years there should be single day tickets available mid September
In 2012 the single day tickets were $90
In 2011 the single day tickets were $60
Im guessing this year they will be $99 or even $100+0 -
