    --that's how this old dude i'm dealing with at work answers the phone, literally every single time.

    how do you answer your phone? i'm more of "hello" guy myself...
    Wtf? That's so weird... your employer allows that?

    I just say "Alli speaking." But of course if I ever have to answer the customer service line I spruce it up slightly: "Good morning/afternoon, [department name], Alli speaking."

    Oooohhhhh. Lol. I thought he was answering phones at your office like that. :lol: In that case, when we're not talking professional phone answering, I am just a "hello?" person.

    Maybe he could spice it up a bit, like, "Praise the Lord, Hallefuckinlujah!" 
    Or, "God here, how may I help you?"

    I just say "Hello?" or "HELL-o!" or when at work, "Good Morning [or afternoon] , Bookery."
