    29/05/00 -Wembley
20/04/06 - The Astoria alley crew + got to shake Ed's hand

Out of the European shows for me Arnhem, Antwerp and Vienna were the most memorable!!! But I am sure I wouldn't have been disappointed by any other...Ooohh I wish I had seen them only once once once silly once more:D!!!

    Very difficult to decide!

Went to Verona, Milano and Pistoia... all special in different ways and for different reasons... yeah, can't really pick one! :D

    Fantastic shows all of them!

    *still beaming* :)
  • leeds was special coz that was the first time for me, but even so, i have to sey: vienna.
stood at the top of the hill over my town i was found. finding myself used to be hard but now i see the light. this is music.
  • No one said that the shows they've been to were bad.

So they were all pretty fantastic.

That's why you just have to choose regarding the setlist imo.

Even myself, I can't choose between Paris & Marseille... Both are so different but both are fantastic...
    :)
Still waiting for a gig in Paris (in a venue not a festival) since 2006...

I choose Marseille, with no hesitation
  • No one said that the shows they've been to were bad.

I think Verona sucked. And I have been there.
  • of the whole tour: either Dublin or Marseille.

out of the shows i went to: Pistoia or Bern. maybe leaning towards the latter.
  • out of the shows i went to: Pistoia or Bern. maybe leaning towards the latter.

Yeh, Bern was (relatively) short but was an amazing set.

  • ok lets try another question....if you have either gone to or bought the bootlegs to more than a couple shows....which was better? help us narrow down which to buy....

obviously the show with the whole new record and tremor christ played is a must....

but i have not heard any except the reading webcast....
Seems that needlessly it's getting harder
To find an approach and a way to live
Are we getting something out of this
    all-encompassing trip?

I have every bootleg, went to 5 shows.

NOT including the shows i went to, i recommend:

    Dublin
    Bern
    Torino
    Pistoia
    Vienna

Of the 5 i went to, i recommend Lisbon II and Milan. Although Verona from Inside Job onwards is spectacular.

been to Milan and Verona, listened to Dublin.

Even I could not choose between the SHOWS in Verona and Milan, the Milan boot is more fun to listen to because you hear the crowd better.

    Milan wins over Dublin, too

    agreed!
i can never choose a *best*.....and it's all so subjective in any case. i LOVED each and every show i saw in italy, each for different reasons...and yea, it's pearl jam...so they are all great!
    Stay with me...
    Let's just breathe...

I am myself like you somehow

  • I'm torn between Bern and Torino. Both were great for different reasons. I think Bern had the overall better setlist. I was at the Verona show and would agree that it wasn't too spectacular at all really. And the crowd was awful. Milan's crowd blew Verona's away.

That's because you haven't been to Zagreb...
  • I went to 3, Marseille, Paris and Dublin and I think Marseille was the best in terms of the setlist, but Dublin just edges it in terms of energy and crowd. But all three were brilliant either ways.
If Pearl Jam was a beer, they'd probably be the best beer in the world!!
  • for me it was verona, i think.

The band was FLAWLESS!! There was only 9,000 in attendence but they sound fuckin great...the guitar tones are just perfect...Ed's voice is the best I've heard it since 98...

Not For You, 1/2 Full, Black, Spin The Black Circle, and State of Love and Trust are all the best versions I have ever heard, personally my favorites...they played STELLAR versions of Last Exit, Dissident, and Porch...plus Breath came back!! :D

The longest show of the Euro tour...32 songs!

My other favorite is Milano...best version of Daughter from that show...crowd is absolutely INSANE!! :D

    My vote goes to Zagreb.

Band was excellent, Ed was in great mood, the audience was loud, wild and you could feel energy and emotions in the air.
