"We paced ourselves and we didn't rush through it and we tried to be as creative as our collective minds would let us be over some course of time instead of just trying to rush through a record"
The double whammy of Indifference and Black at Dublin was kinda special too, as well as hanging out with the group we met the night before....you guys made our trip and you know who you are
SO many memories.
Dublin was my first PJ show. Hearing Inside Job as an opener, hearing Education on it's live debut, and hearing indifference were pretty damn awesome. As was meeting so many people from this place. You really are all great. Nicest people ever.
Both nights at Lisbon were great, but the second night was particularly special to me.
Paris show was good, but not as great as the others I saw. Heard many RA songs that night, which was cool, and met some great people. Had an awesome few days in the city istself.
Verona, what can I say? Not much about the night before the concert, as I don't remember all that much! But it was fun.
The rain pissed me off SO much, and I was in a really bad mood, standing on those stone steps at the top of the arena. But, when I heard the opening notes of Release, it made it all worthwhile. This was the song I had been wanting to hear, as an opener, all the shows I was at. Very special night for me.
So, thankyou to PJ and all the people I met on the way. You all rock!
Bring on the next tour!

Too many shows but never enough!
These guys are the fruit of the earth...
well, first hello to everybody...my first post here.
my highlight was Berlin.
after seeing them in Turin I decided that I'd watch them again absolutely, in one or another way.
So, after checking the possibilities (job first of all, tickets, other stuff..), the only one show possible was Berlin.
The show was completely sold out from many months, but I bought anyway a flight tickets (so expensive...). I was sure I'd be in....I phoned to the german PJ tour manager -a man I didn't see and I won't in my life but to which I am so grateful...- which promised me he'd book a ticket for me...it was a completely out of mind trip, but in the end the ticket was there....
A beautiful show, as always -the seventh for me, first one in 1993-, and the morning after I took the plane and go back at home.
I decided to spend the rest of my life to follow them as for my possibilities, I think the next year I'll be in the US.
Cheers,
Tram
Verona 93 - Milan 96 - Barcelona 96 - Verona 00 - Milan 00 - Turin 06 - Berlin 06 - Lisbon 07 - Madrid 07 - Katowice 07 - London 07 - Werchter 07
The whole day at Reading was awesome. Going nuts to Slayer, drinking myself stupid with my non PJ fan friends and dissing all the crappy British 'pop' bands on show!
And then, Eddie takes the stage 'This is the time... this is the place' in his old, earthy drawl before ripping into Interstallar Overdrive/Corduroy - an entire farmers field full of people screaming at the top of their lungs 'THE WAITING DROVE ME MAD'
Amazing..... I felt funny after that night. Elated but flat - like i was on the biggest drug comedown. I couldnt possibly see how it could ever be topped.
Then, of course the next week in Barcelona - a different experience but almost better in many ways. Not as many people but a fiery, urgent gig of only 24 songs and Ed and McReady going nuts with Wolfmother. Black, Crazy Mary... In My Tree... and who can forget Hungerstrike... an INCREDIBLE gig that doesnt get as much respect on this board that it should do.
And to think I nearly didnt go to Marseille the week after due to work commitments... I actually thought it wouldnt be that good anyway and I didnt want to taint my memories of the most amazing to nights of my life. But oh my god - this was arguably the pick of the bunch! A room of only about 7,000 people and a setlist to die for...
Long Road to open with, Fatal, Off He Goes and without doubt the best version of Black i have ever heard both live or on boots. The tag 'I'd be lying/if i said i dont love you/dont love/ no more.... noooooo more/we dont belong together... together....' the tu tu tu tu tututu carried by the crowd long after the song has finished. And then, in the last encore, Dirty Frank and Leash....
Simply incredible.
And all the people I met - I had no idea there were others out there like me. And soooo many of you. Lining up with the 10 Club for hours on end was as much fun as I have had in a long time!
I love you all. I love the music. I love this band of ours.
What a fucking amazing end to the summer.

Sitting second row right in front of Mike and screaming... almost getting kicked out for lighting up... but calming down and watching the entire set... AMAZING... Santa Barbara was a true religious experience for me.. and of course OAHU... AMAZING
