Yeah i'm kinda over Wolfmother, and it's only gonna get worse on sunday when they take out every award. They do put on an alright live show though. but i do see them going the way of jet in the near future. they have had such a massive debut that i think they might struggle to back it up, like jet, it took them what, 3 years to get out their next CD and i haven't heard much about it.condescending and sarcastic since 19800 -

Yeah i know, i'm saying there was massive hype round them when their first album came out and they like were everywhere for a year, then they disappeared which i think might happen to wolfmother. they have a lot to live up to with their next release.
If i was in a band and my debut went nuts like wolfmothers had i'd ride it for a while like they have been then you know when things slow down and you are getting the 2nd album ready, i'd say that the band has broken up. then release the 2nd album under a different name, just so it doesn't have the hype of being "That cool band's" second album.condescending and sarcastic since 19800 -

no. no you wouldnt.
1) the first week of sales will go nuts and earn you enough to live on for the next 10 yrs alone.. even before people have time to review it or listen to it.
2) you assume no one would know in the music industry and spread the word... months before the 2nd album came out, that you were the same band as before??
oh dear.Yeh I've seen Pearl Jam, too. But I can't remember the dates.0 -

KOL kick wolfmother they are not in the same league.... I saw Sonic Youth open for PJ this year and they were great. Kings will give them a serious run for their money (and Pearl Jam's).
I'm pumped for the Adelaide shows.. ! It has just hit me the last 3 days that I'm seeing PJ again! I'm starting to organise things like getting work off (which I have done) and even thinking about what I'm going to and what time I will be getting to the venue on the days.I'm just flying around the other side of the world to say I love you
Sha la la la i'm in love with a jersey girl
I love you forever and forever

yeah, that's not what i meant. obviouly you got to make it big with a cd so you can tour the massive venues. and if i was in a band i'd be the bigest sellout ever!
my songs would be on commercials, i'd have my own line of undies, the lot, if people was gonna give me the cash i'd put my name on whatever the fuck they are selling.
And it's just excited the shit outta me when you said 12 days, and that's the 1st time since tix went onsale i've been excited about it.
Can't wait.condescending and sarcastic since 19800 -
Less than 12 days now until Pearl Jam are in our country!!

you want to know something amazing?
pearl jam ticket prices have almost trebled in 11 years.
In 1995 they were only $36!!
In 1998 they were $51
In 2003 I think they were about $80
and I payed about $110 for fan club tix in 2006
slightly more than the inflation rate, thats why I'm only going to one show this tour. the band are playing pretty much the same venues as in 95 - admitedly they do have an international support band this time. the big day out is only $120.
Mind you Roger Waters is $180 to $380!!!Melbourne: 17/March/95, 18/March/95, 2/March/98, 3/March/98, 19/Feb/03
Brisbane: 10/Nov/06, 11/Nov/06, 25/Nov/09, 10/March/110 -

Still cheap when you think about it.
tickets to see an aussie band these days range from $35-$80
you'd pay $35 for a small type band like the beautiful girls or the grates, $50 dollars for the more known type bands, john butler trio is $50. and $80 for alot of aussie bands, hell bernard fanning is $79 which seems like alot to me, his tours have gone from $30 to $50 and this tour is $79, and thats over the space of like a year.
international bands these days are all mostly over $100, chillis are $120, foos were $150, tool side shows are $107.
so you know, most concert prices are going up, thank fuck alot of good bands are still charging $20 like little birdy and something for kate were only $25. hell TZU are only $12 at the zoo, might have to give that a go.condescending and sarcastic since 19800 -

I wouldn't be surprised if they are here already, like they might of left after bridge to have a week or 2 relaxing here in the warm weather.
i swear the other day i saw Stone in the back of one of those classy limos but not a stretch. but it wasn't cause they had to play bridge that night so unless he played via the satellite i'm pretty sure it wasn't.
but keep your eyes open from here on out kids!condescending and sarcastic since 19800 -

RHCP prices for the Melb concert in April are $160.
Living End was $44 with booking fee.
Falls tickets went up this yr by about $300 -

FOR $99 you can hear legendary band Pearl Jam at Newcastle Entertainment Centre on November 19 good value for money.
The bad news is tickets sold out within hours of going on sale.
On New Year's Eve at The Brewery you can catch class bands including Silverchair for a mere $76.
The popular Day on the Green in the Hunter Valley will have heaps of top entertainers and set you back only $80.
And the annual young people's favourite, the Big Day Out, has non-stop music from some of the country's best for about $100.
Newcastle's Civic Theatre has some excellent shows and stars lined-up for the next few weeks too.
Kasey Chambers tickets cost just $55, Dracula The Adult Musical is $38 and funny man Austen Tayshus will have you rolling in the aisles for $35.
And now, coming to a venue near you, is Federal Labor frontbencher Julia Gillard.
But to hear the politician doesn't come cheap.
You will fork out $100 to listen to the shadow health minister and future Labor leader.
She will be at Bayviews Restaurant and Function Centre starting on November 16, for a two-hour stint from noon.
The event has been organised by Charlton Federal Labor MP Kelly Hoare.
Tables can be also be booked if you have a spare $1000 at hand.
Bookings can be made at Ms Hoare's office, but be quick we are told seats are limited.
Lunch will be thrown in too as part of the ticket price.Up here so high I start to shake, Up here so high the sky I scrape, I've no fear but for falling down, So look out below I am falling now, Falling down,...not staying down, Could’ve held me up, rather tear me down, Drown in the river0 -

Yeah I got Syd 1 and Newy.
Interesting analysis on the ticket prices. No way Id pay $100 to see Julia Gillard but I would to see Amanda Vanstone........so I could throw a glass vase at that big fat head.
Good morningI'll ride the wave where it takes me.0
