Are the buttons actually pinned onto the felt....so when someone wants one, an employee has to actually go over to the board and unpin the button for the customer?

You could always use a small sleeve sheet of plastic sleeves, kind of like http://www.thinkgeek.com/interests/backtoschool/65ac/ not sure how well it would work, but you can buy this sort of stuff around the place.

I bought a 92 magna. Its a silvery blue color, and its registered and in perfect condition. It was $3,000. I use the term $1,000,000 for any large sum of money..

Hmmm tommy, convincing... I do need some new boots.... but i did JUST buy this car...

Wouldn't we need to be licensed by the band to start making band badges? I don't think we can start making band merchandise ourselves and selling it in the shop. We'd get in trouble!

Ive seen badges on like a double sided frame box that swivels but its deeper than a frame and the badges are pinned on to it. To get the badges off u have to slide up the sides that are like perspex (is that spelt right)? to get the badges off..So it wouldnt be that easy to flog them...

I got ripped of once in ebay by a badge seller took my money and then never sent them..she got de-listed in the end..
Her excuses for not sending were so extreme it was funny......it would have been easier to send the item all the bullshitting and lying she did..obviously there was no product...good scammer tho...
  • Pet sounds sell lots of them, and they arent second-hand obviously, I dont know if its illegal or not?

Yep thats whats getting me by at the moment. I only have one exam and its on the 31 October so Im going nuts for 18 days after that.

Ziggy - Badges. I went to some hippie/music festival thing a couple of weekends ago and they had a stall that sold badges and patches. Had 000's of them and they displayed them on felt boards in a glass cabinet thing. The chick said she made them herself and they were selling for $2.50 for the little round ones (little bigger than a 10c piece) and $4.50 for the biggies (size of an orange). They were selling like hotcakes and she had boxes of them. Gotta be a huge markup on those bastards
I'll ride the wave where it takes me.

Hmmmm.....I wonder if it would be better for us to make them ourselves then...because that's obviously is how everyone else does it....and why pay them when I could whip up some. But I probably don't have the time.

Wade, what was that badge making machine thing you were talking about earlier?

    BUSTED!

Yeah Wade! BUSTED! To make it up to me, you should go in there with a friend and pretend to take photos of him with your mobile phone and take photos of all the merch they have -- shirts, buttons, bags etc....then report back to me. :D

Hang on, that's a good idea.....Wade, what are they selling? PM me if you want, I don't care either way.

Fuck! They're not cheap, are they?!?!? I'd prefer to put that $1,000 into other kinds of good merchandise -- not pissy little $2.50 badges!

I think that would be wise.

Im thinking I might take up the sport when I retire tho. Would be a helpful time-passer and imagine how popular you'de be walking into the local bingo nite covered in badges. Making special/personal ones for all the good looking ladies from the blue-rinse set. Man you'd be the shit.
