There's a solid Mexican place just across if some are up for that. MANY Thai places. I can't count the number of pubs in the area, though a big portion of those primarily cater for either the rich inner city crowd or the gay and/or lesbian crowd.

The Brighton Bar is the one I've felt most comfortable in. But it's a pretty nice walk thru Hyde Park if we just meet up at the Criterion like last time before RATM. Or am I thinking Cornell? At least everyone knows where the Criterion is.
