Dixie! That's her name (sorry, I'd forgotten it)...yeah it wouldplay on your mind, especially if you're bored....she seems to whing about food way more than anyone else though.....and I don't mean to be rude, but it would probably be good for her health to cut back a little anyway :o Isn't she some sort of Mental Health worker or something....she doesn't seem to be coping at all?? Obviously not an advantage?

Haven't heard any goss on Rima ....Glenn's the TV goss-man around here and he hasn't posted anything

Brendan did have an exam today....not sure, but I don't think it's his last though? Hope he did well!!

    Well hey you! :)

Have been wondering where you've been??

Weekend was OK, I guess...same ol, same 'ol'.
    How was your weekend?
:) Yes, i have been ingognito for the weekend, and all for good reason too!

Its been a really rough coupla days down here, and unfortunately I cant mention too much due to the seriousness of certain events.....

but my little bro (18 years) is going to court today for Theft of Firearms (my stepdads 303 and 202), Drugs charges and we found out he is addicted to Ice and has been using Heroin.

He is a Chef by trade and for the last three years has been using Speed (its absolutely flooded in the hospitality ind.) and yeah, I havent seen him for a while as he has been living with a guy that has a very, VERY bad past, and has been his henchman so to speak.

So, in about ten minutes he will front up in court and after that he has been told by the Police to get out of town cause the big wigs in the town said they are going to kill him.

    :(

Yeah last one done yesterday. Pretty sure Ill have to do both again which I dont mind. To me these were just a learning experience on where I fucked up and how I manage my time.

I knew they'd be hard but nothing like what they were - pure ball tearer's. A shame coz Ive put a lot of time into it, knew most of the info etc. Ive just realised I dont sit exams well

I guessed the last 20 out of 70!!!!! And when I say guessed...I didnt even read the questions - just ticked b or c - which pisses me off coz I knew those parts pretty well.

Im so far over it that I really dont care. Slept 14 hours last night!!!

I tell you what mate, it comes very, very close....with all the details ive omitted, it is very similar.

It just makes you wonder how these things happen. Yeah, no-one has a perfect upbringing, but his parents (my mum and stepdad) were together his whole life, he wasnt abused or sexually assulted as a kid...he went to a private school.... Im really at a loss.

I hate the world at the moment and am so fucking worried about what its going to be like for my two kids when they grow up.

Fuck it, I wish I could have a scotch right now, but I have to be responsible

ive heard a lot about the speed use in hospitality too - very high stress industry, strange to some people, but a lot of the up & comers have a lot of pressure put on them both to get there and to stay there - is a hard thing.

and the heroin shit - my ex was on heroin, we tried for about two years to work it out before i finally gave up, and he's still on it now and just completely thrown his life down the gutter. Its a dark road, but unless they want to stop you cant do a single thing about it. a lot of the continued use comes from wanting to block out what they've done, and the fact that the original high doesn't really exist anymore, its really just to feel 'normal'

what a horrible thing for you. things slip out of control pretty easily if you are not careful. just let him know you dont judge him, but be careful too.

Hospitality high stress??? I swap my job stress any day to stand behind a bar pulling beers or waiting on 15 tables at a cafe.

Very sad about the heroin thing. I feel for anyone involved with such a thing/person. Just a nasty nasty drug

    Thanks :)

Yeah, I went round to see him yesterday where he was staying and I stayed for a few hours with my Mum. By the time I had to leave he was still in bed so unfortunately I couldnt give him a hug or anything. So, I havent actually seen him for atleast 2 months, which is awful cause he only lives about 40mins away :( But I left him a note saying we loved him and will stand by him, and I dont judge him and hope he knows that. Poor thing was absolutely sobbing when he got home after the police interview...aw fuck it!

And yes, I am trying to keep a distance, my two kids are my first priority and I will keep them away from the whole mess...and even though all I want to do is hug him when I see him, I hope to hell he learned a bloody big lesson.
There really is no-one else to blame but himself (and a small percentage goes to the fuckwit guy who got him to do the dirty work).

So yeah, thank you for your words of advice, just waiting now for any news on the bail conditions...

Chef work is extremely difficult, long hours, high stress and the way the head chefs treat the Sous Chefs and such is absolutely disgusting, I cant go into how hard my bro has worked in the industry coz it would take all day.
He didnt pull beers or wait on tables...I said he was a Chef...
    completely different.

Finally just got through to Glenn....he only just woke up  Him and the guys celebrated his birthday last night - he's not well at all LOL!!! I told him he's too old to be carrying on like that now ;)

I asked him about Sydney and he's very keen, but not sure about getting time off work for it, cuz it'll muck up his next break, which he needs to keep as he's coming back for his Dad's 70th birthday bash. He's gonna ask though :D

I also looked into flights and it would work out cheaper for me to fly to Sydney and then fly to Perth???

    Gold Coast - Sydney = $55
    Sydney - Perth = $189

Gold Coast - Perth (have to go via Sydney) = $395

    WTF!!!

STUART!!!!???? Have you still got 2 x spare tickets for Powderfinger for the 11th??
Nope... damn you Zenith :p I have one!

    I never had two spares
