  • Heya Sam.....I've just stopped for a quick coffee and ciggy break. I wouldn't say it's the nicest day here, but it's not raining, so that's a bonus and I'm making the most of it and spending the day out in the garden :)
So why has your day been so special???? Is it the nice weather? Have you been out somewhere? Or is it just lurrrrv and your beautiful Emma? :)

It's just been a nice spring day, smells of spring, surfed for a few hours, played some wii, had a good burger for lunch, spent some time with emma and it's just a nice day, not a cloud in the sky and a comfortable 21 degrees! Beautiful! And the excitement of seeing Lost Dogs tomorrow! Woo!
  • So a combination of it all.....*sigh* sounds like the perfect day :)

Great to hear....you were due a day like this :)

  • Yep....rains held off.....there hasn't been any rain forcast for a while....but it has sprinkled a couple of times and keeps coming in really overcast every now and then....so far so good, though :)
Gardenings going good.....it's been a while since I've been able to really get stuck into it, so it's long over due. Ciggy breaks are getting more frequent though ;) so it must be nearly time to call it a day, me thinks. This would usually be the time when Glenn and I decide to sit back with a few bourbons and admire all the work we've done...haha! Any excuse! Only 16 more sleeps now....I can't wait!

ooo, how do you do that??
I just don't wanna have a plain steak
    I have weet-bix!!

LOL!!! It was one of those "have to make up a meal, but there's bugger all in the cupbourd" :D meals.
I just pop a few weet bix (remember I'm cooking for 4-5 of us, so you won't need as much) in a freezer bag and crush them with a rolling pin (doesn't matter what you do it with - just crush them) I only put the crumbed weet bix on the kids steak, but for mine I add some garlic and sorts to the crumbs....OK....where was I? Oh yes...dip each steak into whisked egg, then coat in the crumbs and cook in a bit of oil (either in a frying pan or on the BBQ).....voila - easy peasy japanesy!

Haha! Crushed corn chips instead of weet bix are yummy too.
I'm the champion of making meals up with whatever I can find in the cupboard :D Can't get too adventurous with spices and stuff with the kids, but always trying out stuff to make a boring steak a bit more appetising for the kids.......and don't get me started on making up recipes that HIDE lots of vege's in them, so the kids get a big vege fix ;)

i kinda stuffed it up, i thought it would be easier to crumb cause my crumb bowl was to small for the steak to put the crumbs in with the egg, now it doesn't exactly stick to the steak...
    It'll work out...

Nothing to learn with made-up recipes....anythings goes Hun :) I bet it'll be deliciosis!!!
At least you're cooking....alot of people in your situation would've got a pizza delivered or something.
As far as I'm concerned there aren't really any rules to cooking - do what you like :D
    Bon appetite! :D

On that note....I'd better get on with tea, too.
