The innovative control methods are the secret to what will be the Wii's longetivity.
PS3 are on the road to ruin. Wii's and 360's will rule the day due to price, range of games, and the Xbox 360's far,far superior online support. Xbox Live kills everything.
PS3 were doomed from the start because they took WAY too long to be released, and once they were released their price......well, $1000 to play video games that look good??0 -

I initially traded the ps2 in to get a 360... only had it a couple of months before again trading for the ps3. price between the 360 and ps3 is not that different, it's just that microsoft make you buy everything you need as an add on, rather than including everything to start with like sony did..... and as for online, the ps3 craps all over the 360 imo!!! No lag, no annual fees, NO MICROSOFT!!! works for me...
the wii is a different beast altogether, as you said because of the innovative controls.... i think the wii and ps3 will last, xbox is in trouble once they hit the limit for dvd storage.... bluray will reign!!!0 -

I think the brand new Xbox 360 Elite is gonna send ripples through PS3's sales figures0 -

If i was an xbox junkie, i'd be peeved at microsoft.... firstly for not making the elite the standard in the first place, and secondly for almost burning down my house 5 times with the first 5 360's that i would have had to fry before getting one which didn't meltdown after an hour...0 -

yeah, Xbox fanboys rule!!!!
I'm real close to getting the HD-DVD add on, but i'm not sure how much improvement i'm gonna get on my tv compared to normal dvd. i have a 109cm rear projection TV, it doesn't have full def though, I have my xbox running at high definition resolution of 480p.condescending and sarcastic since 19800 -

Well i got everything i needed to play from the start, 2 wireless controllers, 3 games, Hard Drive, all the xbox live stuff like headset ect. dvd remote, all for $700 new from harvey norman a year ago. the three games alone were worth $300 when i got them, but now you can get them for under $200, i got Dead Or Alive 4, Project Gotham Racing, and the best game ever made Gears Of War 2 disc collectors edition. but yeah i've got shitload more games nowLukin4 wrote:ah, i see your caught in the black hole that is microsoft..... it'll suck your funds dry before you know it!!!
but yeah, all i want now is the HD-DVD drive but that is really an extra, you don't need it to play, but for $200 it still makes it cheaper all up then a PS3 or just a stand alone Blu-raycondescending and sarcastic since 19800 -

yeah, the one thing i did enjoy about the xbrik was Gears Of War... but Resistance: Fall of Man has gone a long way to replacing it!!! Have you had overheating issues, or did you buy the after market cooling kit as well...?0 -

I've had no overheating issues, and i've heard people have had more trouble with some of those after market coolers like the fans and stuff.
But yeah you read how most people have their's in a shut cabinet and have other shit sitting on top of it ect. and wonder why it overheats. but also some people have done the right things and it still overheats but most of those seem to be launch consoles. mines sits on a shelf all by itself with nothing near it it's about a metre off the back wall of the shel so there is heaps of room for airflow.
i've played gears of war for like 9 hours straight and the xbox was obviously warm, but i would say it was boiling hot or anything. but yeah i do try to make sure it doesn't feel too hot when i'm playing, and in summer the air cons always on so it's in a cool room.condescending and sarcastic since 19800
