Leigh thought he would be in it for the long haul....I hoped it wouldn't last for the whole term of the 3 year lease to be honest. I just wanted to make some quick cash and get out of it because I HATE retail (even though I didn't work there)....and I want Leigh to draw. He's been too busy to draw lately and that's bullshit!

Yes, full focus will be on his comic and this project with the graphic designer.

He's too talented to be tied to a counter and cash register all day long. He needs to be creative and it's frustrating the hell out of him...which I knew it would but he thought it wouldn't but now a year later he's a bit OVER IT! So I'm like AWESOME, sell it, get a lump sum and draw for a year or two or six!

That's the hardest part about being an artist (starving artist) you have to do something else to make some $$ while you try to get your name out there, but in the mean time you've got no time to be doing your art....it sucks!
He's done really well, though to be able to walk out with a tidy profit after only 1 year. The usual saying is to not expect to be making much for the first couple of years. Excellent....EXCELLENT news:D

Yes, it's hard being an artist....every job he has he dislikes because the only job he really enjoys is drawing. So I'm like FUCK IT, time to just do your art for a while and screw everything else. Hey, more than likely down the track he'll be a part time stay at home dad and I'll go to my business everyday. Suits me fine.

Leigh's had enough of retail. The main aim was to build it up and sell it down the track so he could live off the profits and draw for an extended period so it's all worked out well. He's now going to do a few projects with a graphic designer and they'll see what happens from then on.

Hope one of these people buy it soon!

Obviously they are only interested because you have a load of Ben Harper CD's on order?!
